I finished assignment #4. c:
I found quite a lot of pictures of male lions, and looked at about 4 or 5. Then I just drew one in a random and simple pose not used in any of the references (as stated in the assignment rules).
I realize that the blue background is very obnoxious, but it honestly didn't look that bad when I had my laptop's brightness turned all the way down. Cx
And yes, it is a bit big, sorry. ;~;
Also, Fiskepudding, I love your Midna helmet! xD That thing is such a pain to draw. xC
So here is my assignment #1....I don't think I did it quite the way the assignment said...I drew a completely different shoe from imagination instead of just adding something onto the shoe I had already done from observation...I will do that too and post it....I like this assignment...
Hello everyone!! Here is my attempt to assignment NO#1... I went a little bit crazy about it, but had a great fun at the same time...
Wow, that is very creative! I love the flying shoes! And I like your 'scribbling' line...I don't what the word is for it....but I like the looseness of it...maybe not for every drawing, but it seems to fit the whole 'prototype' drawing...capturing the moment of creation.
great thread I learned a lot!

Hi! Been lurking on this site for way too long. This is my Assignment #1, original still life cup is on the left, new one on the right. I think I might practice this assignment a few more times before moving on.
It expresses everything I've been having trouble with. I couldn't express myself enough. I stopped drawing for almost 2 years because of it. But now It all makes sense.
I know that it was years ago you made this thread but THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
This is EXACTLY what I needed .
I've been working on these great assignments myself....here's my attempt at #1 with some color thrown in for fun
Good extensive explanation and guide you have here.
I'm certainly going to make a few of your assignments if I have some free-time.
Here's my take on assignment #10. I drew one of the sofas in my house from a couple of angles, focusing on getting the perspective right, then I drew another sofa made up entirely from fruit. I thought it turned out pretty well...
I'm trying to step out of my "I'm bored but still sketching" same old routine.
And I wish I had seen this thread earlier.
Bookmarked, and hopefully I'll do some of the assignments soon.
