Sorry to be the worst updater here on CA. Life is crazy, juggling this painting gig. I think I missed some PMs sorry about that. Working towards a show at Gallery Henoch for March of 09 and I'm really behind right now, I need an assistant to manage shit here. been working on some larger life sized full figure pieces, one 90 by 65 inch that is so close and I'm starting one 90 by 48 piece tomorrow, well prepping the surface. Thanks for all of the comments that I haven't been responding to, I hate to bump my book up.
anyway, here are two new pieces. one oil on panel and one charcoal drawing.
Awesome Painting David!

That latest oil is gorgeous, both in technique and substance- I like the veins and sinew, the lived-life sense in the physicality of the subject- it's carried out with grace and character. Really inspiring stuff, thanks for taking the time to post it up.

uhhhhhhhhhh..damn my balls hurt. that last painting is really nice man. the light is beautiful. fuck.
I ve always been rip apart with my two sides: the cartoonist and the hiperrealist......the comic book storyteller and the illustrator/painter. Every time I find artist like you....light the fire in my inner fight.
Lovely brush strokes, amazing tonal and hue control, awesome values, such a nice taste.
It's always a treat to see new work from you, love the latest painting and charcoal, and the large pieces sound exciting can't wait to see what you come up with. Thanks for sharing.
Incredible stuff. That last oil is breathtaking... Makes me wanna bust out my brushes again. Actually i'll have to anyways lol. This will inspire me

Unholy ineads of my gaulbladder! What are you? An artistic Jedi of some sort? That shit is ridiculus! I mean why on gree gaia did I bother to get a camera, I could just rent you when I wanna have a nice pictuer of someones, except yours would be WORTH hanging on the wall
There is nothing left! There is nothing NOTHING to be said about it! Mostly because I am drooling so heavely that I had to pull celophan over my damn laptop not to have a shortout here, but also because it is stupendous! Normaly I would go away, get shitfaced and try to forget this sketchbook, but seeing as I am being a better person, I will absorb inspiration from your awesomeness and soldier on!
THANKS for existing!
What a beautiful drawing! The sensitive strokes and marks only add to this portrait.

this is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow, that last oilpainting just made my heart beat at double speed! Holy fuck, that is just too good! Thanks for the kick in the balls and for showing what is possible and wich way to go
Such great stuff
Sweet mamma jamma!! I don't normally go in for the photo real thing but your presentation is really tasteful. Love those worn textured backgrounds. The drawings are my favourite. The contoured marks are just plain delicious. Before I saw the workshop photos I was hoping you wouldn't be as young as you are just to protect my ego. Haha, sigh, oh well.
Your sketchbook is really really REALLY inspirational!!! Please , keep up the amazing work!!!
Incredible! Thank you!
