haha! i remeber that OC session Dan, it was fun!
we gotta do a serious one soon
the life drawing looks absolutely awesome.post 1250 is cool too, and the demon chick looks interesting.I'm still convinced it would be cool to see some animal anatomy\creatures in here, but keep sharin what your crazy mind has to share
You know, I have seen your life figs, some time back. Think they are quite strong for shape and render. Just was waiting to see more
Seems there is no spot on, just ambient in the drawing studio. Requires a bit more thinking to define the forms. And you can handle the subtle nuances pretty darn well. I like the even values of the forms, which allows us to take in the entire figure without distraction. Well done. If you are using graphite, I can see that finishing a figure could take a while. How long did your last life fig take?
Only thing here is proportion. Head and neck are a bit too large on a small statured woman.
These are just crisp and clean. Every stroke is your style.
Nice drawing. Very sensitive reading of plane changes. Nothing to say about this. Nice hair.
Love your characters.
This one is just awesome, period!
Another great concept.
Are you using photo reference? His left shoulder- as is, seems to be slightly to the front of his pec. Not sure if intended as the other shoulder is also short on the clavicle space. The head is quite nice.
Daniel, keep doing what you're doing. Your life work is beautiful. All your sketches have so much interest in them. I simply wait for more.
I was just waiting for you to update! Damnit Dan! I know about my construction lines! Lol...I'll work on it...promise. Thanks for dropping by my SB man...means a lot. This latest update is good, but not great. You could make it great, but I assume that you are finished with it. Like I said before, I understand your rendering process now, so this is a good one. Can't wait to see more and I know you'll have to use my name like 5 times when you eventually get to replies.
See ya around!
damn! love your pencil work!

hows things going man? loving the new updates, your sb is always and has been a constant source of inspiration for me...too bad i cant give you back anything apart from asspats lol...keep going strong man, you should try getting into digital stuff again soon too!
oh wow, I've been away for a while and I've missed so much! Gotta catch up quick!
There seems to be a sort of a flow in your work that wasn't there before, looks like you're having more fun and doing less worrying. I'd love to sit down with you behind a huge paper and just start doodling away, see what wild compositions and ideas would emerge
all types of niceness in here man....
love it! Inspiring
Goddammit dude you just keep raping those pages. Im running out of constructive things to say, other than id wish youd finish more work!
Its interesting how once you tried doing just lines your thought process shows right through, all your lines look like preparations for rendering i think, and could stand better on their own if you pushed em more.
As always, i love how much fun youre having on every page, its a good kick in the olde coin purse about not taking the sketchbook too seriously.
(in a good way)
Aww thanks everybody and Merry Christmas !!
how about a video ?
I'll make a better one soon. this one's mainly just to get an idea...

Wow nice vid man and great pencil skills. Could you post the pic scanned it whenever you're done with it so we can get a better idea. Man, that made me wanna draw and I got this rather sexy new pencil as a small gift lol so yeah thanks man for the inspiration. Keep this stuff up.
Now just get a better angle for the camera and a better lighting arrangement and I might take something away...
Good sketch though, what's the paper size?
Mm yes quite nice draw more weird shit though please.
I second! Thats an awesome song that is!what is the name of the song?
Cool video, but yeah, what might work too is if you put the camera over your shoulder maybe so we can see more of it Thanks for posting! It was fun to watch !!
Very nice work I like that you're really pushing yourself. I looked through your entire thread and the progress is great. I have a question as to what sketchbook or paper you find most appropriate for rendering like you do? I'm having some trouble picking out what works in the sketchbook department. Thanks!
