When I was but a wee rabbit i slept in fundamentals, and now i need to brush my teeth on some colour theory...
Anyone know any good tomes of colour theory? not out of print stuff, just a good comprehensive book that i can get at borders or Barnes and Nibbles..
thanks in advance for the help.
I highly recommend this. The book is excellent, and the charts are a great reference.
(Even though it's pricey, don't be tempted to buy a used copy with the charts already assembled.)

The one Elwell recommended keeps popping up so I think that's probably what you should go with, plus uhm - Elwell recommended it
To get you started in the mean time, I remember Andrew Loomis's Creative Illustration section on color was a great primer - you can find that around the interweb.
Some alternatives I'd suggest would be:
Creative Color by Faber Birren (if you can find it)
Painter's Guide to Color & Color Choices by Stephen Quiller
Power Color by Caroline Jasper
Color Theory Made Easy by Jim Ames
Color by Betty Edwards
Elements of Color & The Art of Color by Johannes Itten
Interaction of Color By Josef Albers
