the stages of shock:
1. utter disbelief
2. pld: sheer joy and excitement
3. appreciation and admiration
4. realization that i will never be as good as you
5. confusion and frustration on how something so beautiful can hurt so much..
once again Gangus.. thank you - JAG
it's only after you've lost everything, that you're free to do anything..
absolutely gorgeous work. great concept with each of teh different countries
Gangus is a maaachiiiiiine!
I just can't believe how realistic that hair looks on the new A-10 piece!
Being a nerd of all things planey I had to say, the A-10 does carry AIM 9s for air defence while it's blowing the crap out of stuff no the ground.
Now that crap's out of the way, the A10 and all previous pieces are beauties, excellent stuff.
I'd recommend the Su 37 just for a cool plane not a victory gal or anything.
Poorly worded on my part, I should've said that the A-10 is not known for AIM-9 launches, they're typically used as a form of self defense against rotary wing aircraft. When I think iconic picture of the A-10 I think of the GAU-8 being cooked off, dumb bombs or mavericks being launched. If you want to get technical the missile in the picture is closer to a HARM than anything else, and those aren't loaded out on A-10's as they're too heavy for LAU-88 racks.
Hi Gangus, I'm from Singapore. Just stumbled into this forum whilst ransacking the internet for british spitfire informations. I think it's worth the time signing up just to post this. I must say, your work is "DEVINE" that really blew me away, wow. I'm an acrylic painter and it's been long long time I haven't come across such amazing aviation paintings. Truly amazing. I love the Victory Girls, the one wielding a british sten. Just remarkable!
Alrighty, keep it up. Rocks!
crit on the A-10:
The A-10 doesn't carry sparrows or AMRAAMs, it does however carry sparrows every once in a while, but most of it's ordinance is air to ground.
Your pics are amazing man, I love aviation, and your stuff is inspiring!
now do an F-15 and/or F-22!!!!!!!!!
That is some awesome, inspiring work, Gangus. I love WWII nose art, and 50s style pinup art in general. These are incredible. Keep it up!
(And if you happen to need a west coast source for prints, let me know -- I have a large format Canon that prints up to 42" wide)
Beautiful artwork. My fav would have to be the one of the Zero and the Corsair after it had crashed in the ocean.
OH my GOD! This is pure awesomeness. I love all these. I also really love that you've made a A-10 painting; I personally think its one of the coolest aircrafts around. My only crit though, would be that its painted from a slightly uninteresting angle, imo.
Top notch stuff this is!
pretty sweet, once again.
Since i'm not really into planes and history of rockets, i tend to prefer some of your older Gals, which were more... err... I don't know how to explain. Yeah, planes were a detail in the picture. It's a matter of proportions i guess. Anyway, this last one is really cool in many aspect, the babe is really sensual and her hair are probably the best you made (from what i know). Cheers.
If you are interested to discuss possibility to make menu screens for our flight sim Battle of Britain, please contact email@example.com with the attention to Oleg Maddox in subject. Then I will answer from my own email.
I must send out a public apology to so many of my good friends here at CGtalk. I have been away/missing from the community for a bit- I am terribly sorry. Life with my son's diagnosis and family have really engulfed me as of late. Sometimes my msn is accidently left on for days and it must seem like I am simply not responding. Having moments of hi's and lows lately- plus trying to earn money for his therapy and stay focused at work has made me somewhat inconsistant, for that I am really, really sorry. Please be patient with me- Will try to help out as many new artists as and when I can, as well as hopefully produce the workshop I promised.
Thanks again for the continued support and apreciation of my work.
Holy....crap. Amazing concept and style. These are extremely well done and memorable!!!
You can call me sir..
you must be kidding man...your personal stuff is waay more important than this...much respect for your art and your will to help others...much respect.
I liked your work for Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and these Victopry Gals, a lot...original technque...btw, do you know Gabriele Dell'Otto's work?
Nice one Glen! The theme and execution is badass, love the poses and composition. Awesome stuff.
If I was gonna nitpick I might say the overall treatment is a little fuzzy, but that's just my aesthetic.
Snow melted out there in WI yet?
-Success is getting what you want, Happyness is likeing what you get-
amazing stuff, you are truly an inspiration in my art bible! keep up the good work , can't wait to see more art work from you.

There are no desperate situations.
Just desperate people.
