I'd suggest using some bigger brushes to define the values on that wip, because I don't think that small pecky strokes work well with that kind of armor - which to me seems like it should be quite smooth with large planes

On the grunt i think your initial sketch reads the best. It has highlights in the right places and all of the form reads. If you still have that version saved I'd say go back to that and just keep pushing it working that way. Push in some form shadows with a soft round but other than that it looks pretty nice. I think as you worked on it further you got less confident in your ability to render and it got messy and unreadable in the process... I have had that problem myself. Basically at some point i realized that all i have to do is look for each shape and render it out simply. Midtone, core shadow, highlight. All you've gotta do is push those shadows in the first sketch and he'll read better than the latest one.
You're getting some good rendering in these design sketches. Those glasses look nice, and i like the visual trick you've got in that one XD
With faces and bodies i'd say put them into your comfort zone. You're really strong with industrial objects in perspective - so when drawing the head think of it as carved out of a box in perspective. The more you can understand and simplify in your head the easier it will be to draw it out.

Your technical drawings are f-ing tight as always. I want to see more of your original designs - robots and body armor and stuff! You are really good at the mechanical/ technologically advanced stuff (but you already knew that). I envy your sense of perspective.
Only thing I'd say atm is keep working on your figures. They're still a bit stiff. More life drawing!.
Sketching 5-10 hands every day really helps out with organic drawings as well (speaking of which, I really need to take my own advice, heh...)

you're so prolific, i had no idea :|! it's fun looking back at your 'ideations' from class. you've inspired me to start compiling my work and making my sketchbook on here. :|
anyway.. i know you probably have heard this a bunch, but you should be more conscientious about your line work. looking back at your thread i noticed the line work on your vehicles is real tight, to me it shows you were thinking a lot about the line. I think it's just when you're dealing with circular shapes that you start getting 'chicken-scratchy'.
it's great to see that you're exploring expressions of the face. i think you can improve many of your drawing techniques by doing self-portraits (and portraits of others). oh, and of course drawing from observation. it sucks you guys don't really have a class in ID that helps you improve drawing skills.. imo, your progress is mostly from your personal work.
oh, and we have the same computer case :d

It's so harsh working with pens and inks, when there are no room for mistakes, you have very nice things going on here, I might suggest you to ghost line lines and perspective, with either the lightest marker or thin/light pen, and only put down/darken definitive lines once you are sure, otherwise it'll just be messy (correcting). Even if it's a fast sketch. Study Feng Zhu's technique for that. You can always paint over something light making it barely noticeable, but you can never hide something dark. Start light, and work your lines up. This is ofc just my theoretical crit and sounds kinda logical to me, I have no practical experience to back this suggestion up.
Like I said, Good stuff. Do what feels the hardest, and be amazed of what you actually can do.

That last finished vehicle is absolutely banging. Great dirty cargo vessel kind of feel. Your technical sense of perspective is tight as hell, per usual.
Keep pumping out those figure studies! Do lots of hands - they help wonderfully with organic subject matter, and they make the other bits of human anatomy seem much easier to draw.
