idle.- yea, I did start a service line that would have been in the foreground and have a character standing looking at the explosion (like those connecting the two mountains) but it would have been a lot more work, and I would have needed to extend the image. but as you said, more mountains would be a good addition. I was also trying out having bomb ships attacking the boat/city but then again, it was a matter of time. I guess I am a bit impatient haha
i can't critique worth squat.
love that enviro. it reminds me of a place
in Myst III: Exile.
i like the opposite colors you chose too when
your painting. though it would be nice to see some
more characters AND STUDIES! WHERE'S THE STUDIES!!
you have some of the most delightful characters on this entire site, i had the mexican zombie party cockgirl as my desktop for a good long while. its very cool to see you branching out and trying new things as well though, my only crit on the environment is it has a much less dynamic point of view than something like your windmill bot one. keep on doing what you do.
Damn those latest pieces, especially the windmill and the environment are amazing. Great warm colors and you're able to make such a yummy surface to your pieces. Feels like a fresh oilpainting where the paint is still all wet and yummy.
I want to see more enviros from you, I think you've got something very promising going on there.
Hope you're doing well otherwise too!
Ok guys, I know I have been away for quite some time, but I have been enjoying the summer quite a lot and worked some too. Now I come to you for advice, I've been thinking of doing t-shirt designs for some time and I was thinking of submitting this one and versions of it to different local t-shirt stores here in my city. If you have any Ideas about the design or color or just about anything, please tell me!
MattGamer, I don't do studies man, but I really should!^^ Also its a pleasure having you over here!
squidmonk3j, Ha thanks man, that really gets me going! Just wish I had some more time on my hands to actually do that!
invinciblewombat, Thanks a lot, I love Mexican zombie party as well even though it has a couple of years on its neck by now. And I agree about the focal point. I tend to cut and move a lot in my pictures and some times I just miss out on whats really going on in the pictures.
noukah, yeah I know, enviros are the hardest thing I know, I know squat about painting it really. But I do like to do different things from time to time! It's all good btw, Just wish I could be on a bad ass project instead of hassling for cash and doing odd jobs.
koopa, Ha ha, thank you your SB isn't that bad either!^^
HumanNature6115, yeah well the logo is just there so that ppl know its mine its not supposed to be on the prints. But its a good and valid point, I'll try to place it somewhere else in the picture.
yeah and another version just to test some things.

Great sketchbook you have her, Paints and graphics are choice.
The only thing is that your logo takes center stage.
The artwork is low contrast and your logo is high contrast.
To test my point, squint your eyes and you will see what I mean.
Hey Jen how've you been my friend? So good to see an update from you! Been missing those cockgirls
I like the colors on this one a lot! And the expression is awesome too! The only thing that bothers me a bit are her tiny feet, sorta look out of place, I think it would look better without them.
Keep up the good stuff and post some more!
I have missed you as well Vic, Everything is good with me just some crap on the job side of life. yeah I'll think about the feet, I was trying to do some perspective thing there but I always fail at it. I might actually go back and redo them. Hope everything is awesome in Madrid! Hugs and kisses in millions!
Keep on rocking with these excellent ideas!

THE OTHER BROTHERS
hey mate, it has been long since I saw you around, been busy?
What exactly is this race of rather weird creatures with their razor teeth? you seem quite into them ^^
Todays batch from my work, Working at a museum is quite nice actually!^^ I honestly didn't think I could draw at all really, been stuck in front of the computer for so long that I really wasn't sure if I could draw lines anymore! I am pretty slow though but I am gonna pick up the pace tomorrow I hope! Yeah and its all ballpoint pen! Love those!!!^^
Bhanu, always a pleasure having you over here! I'll look into it, if the pay is right I might go for it for sure!^^
Hurricane, ha thanks man and likewise! I do love your stuff quite a lot!
Buckster, they are in fact human, but with masks that transform them into what they really look like underneath all human traits and skin. Kinda like a mix of Jason Voorhees/The Mask/Anubis/Osiris. They wear their inside on the outside all their hate and power manifested in physical form.^^ And yeah, kinda busy with enjoying the summer and hassling for cash! Haha
MattGamer, the hand is for you, one of my few studies!^^

I am not sure If anyone actually reads what I write but anyways I have been thinking for some time on working on a semi big project with portraits depicting friends and heroes (actual people) and I kinda wanted to know what you guys thought of it. So please tell me what you think!^^
Hmmm interesting project
Friends and heroes eh? Heroes in what sense? people who you look upto?
Well I think you should go ahead with it and with conviction...Maybe do some studies..to see where you stand and how you much comfortable with it...
Anyways whatever you do I bet it will be awesome
First, those drawings above art great but they look like you should have done them with a brush instead to get that kind of flow in your line art.
Second, about the content. Is the guy in the middle supposed to be Julius Caesar? Is that the kind of direction you were thinking of taking with the "friends and heroes" project? What is the main idea behind this project? Do you just want to draw/paint friends and heroes in a certain style or is there a story you want to tell by doing this? I'm asking because it would be helpful know in which direction you want to take your idea. Let me hear it.
Idle & bhanu, Yeah, well I never really liked those brushes (never really liked brushes at all in fact) I like to sketch it up with the ballpoint pen and then strengthen the lines, not very economic I know but it works for me. Yeah and about question nr 2, It wasn't supposed to look like anyone in particular but now that you say it there is a bit of a resemblance ha ha. I was just going for some harsh face with fun proportions and I didn't color the hair since it takes like for ever with only a pencil. And about the project, I was thinking about people that have touched me personally, made me weep or encouraged me, made me into the person I am today. And it would be my kind of homage to them for introducing me to ideas, styles, life that I had not experienced before. In the project I was thinking of incorporating both my style and some of theirs if they are on the visual side of things. Ha ha, that was quite a lot of text, hope you like it since you do read my posts!^^
Hey Jen I like your sketches! Didn't know you were working for a museum now, I'll try to get on IM one of these days so we can catch up!
Your personal project sounds fun! What sort of portraits were you thinking about? You know, it might be a good opportunity to try and do something traditional, so if you like the result you could try to exhibit it
Good luck! Can't wait to see your progress
Jenzi You have got some great stuff here...sort of skirts the line of graphic art (but a bit more interesting than the stock and trade hipster characters)but you're doing your thing and it doesn't really need a label...the first 3 from the last post I could def. see on large scale canvas/board..mixed media (screen print...paint etc.) in just the blue and white...the third especially has a great vibe.some of the work in the earlier posts are up there as well just focusing on the recent/present...?
it was interesting that you explained the work in a post above as the emotioal/personality traits of the depicted as being worn on their outside as the "suit"...sort of the reality of (or your thake on)personal vs. projected identity...
in no way to take away from you..or what you are doing I can see a lil klimt/schiele in some of the works...maybe even a lil Shag
anyways I've rambled enough...nice work ..later days...
Entdroid, yeah, It feels like we have quite a lot catching up to do!^^ Hopefully I'll talk to you one of these days! Well, I am not sure If I can pull any traditional off really, except printing. kinda burned out about gallery work and so on. I'll probably start making a list of the people I want to be in it soon though.
Risingfromashes, Thanks man as I said I am exploring my more traditional skills a bit and I am happy with some of the end results. I love Schiele and Klimt and the whole Art Nouveau style, though I did not know of them till much recently (pretty much thanks to this community I know now of them). Lil Shag I have never heard of but anything that resembles what I do, I pretty much easily fall in love with! About the story behind the characters there are even more layers to the whole thing, and yes I do have a big hang up on them. Some day in the future I'll probably make a graphic novel with them or something. Thanks for stopping by btw!
Ya just gotta love them cockgirls man, i mean how can you not? There was this robot in this thread that i thought looked pretty cool too. Hey,couldn't you do a comic about that? I know it's hard work but i'm pretty sure it'd pay off.
walnut, Yeah I know, if I ever got someone to do it with me it would be so much easier I tell you. I kinda lack the drive to pull something like that off. Or any drive at all for that matter. I am to restless to put longer than a couple of hours into anything I do.^^
hey jenzi, awesome sb, i didna know you had one!
so basically just big asspat to tell u that i is sorbscribbled.
definitely i think the tribute series is a great idea,
would love to see some of those and it'd be helpful to you
to capture yr admiration in artwork. crystallized as it were.
You have a fookin weird style, its quirky but confuses me.
I like it but im leaving!
Here is my Sketchbook. Please have a look if you have time. Thanks.
