I finally managed to finish this. I made so many changes while painting this painting. It was a kind of lesson to me. Learned a lot.
Hope you like it.
Nobody makes comments???
I don't think I have ever seen bruce lee make a face like that. Also You really need to work on depicting something of a believable light source. Also your losing a lot of form and silhouette with in your treatment of shading and shadow direction. I would also practice rendering human skin a bit more.
Far too much pure white. Skin tones consist of much more than a single shade. Why is he wearing a toupee on top of his hair (his skull is way too long up there)?
There is a ton of other good info in there too. I hope you'll read it. It's alright, but I would work on some anatomy more. What did you use for reference.

I'd like to add that I would have made his fist into like a pose with his hand or something. Bruce Lee was a very fluid fighter, so I think for your next piece, research his fighting - and try to formulate a pose that would match how he fights.
Also, for next time, I'd do some rough drafts for a better facial expression. The one he has right now kinda looks like someone stole his cheerios and he wants them back, but he's just biting his tongue instead.
I do however like the background, and the fact that he's not a figure on a white space (which I typically do, but I shouldn't ).

Hello and thank you for your time and comments.
But the light source, i imagined a big unreal lightsource right behind him to make something of a holy-look atmosphere. I wasnt trying to make it realistic, but looks like i made a mess even trying that
as you can see, depending on his hair length, his skull might look long. not a big mistake i guess.
But i agree that fist looks bad.
Thank you for your nice comments. learned a bit more.
i posted a reply but why is it blocked or not displayed???? what is going on?
Any mods read this can you please help me?? I wrote a reply and posted then i got a message that my post was being reviewed and will be posted after confirmation but it is still not visible... There was only a few links to some portrait photos in the message. is that the problem? no links allowed?
Sorry about that, emrezo. The Spam filter is cruel to new posters. Links make it mean.
With any luck, a mod will come along and get it sorted for you.
I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).
i guess it will take some time. thanks for help
the only thing that poke my eye is the hair...~!

Further up in the list there is a really good post about light, reflected light and shadow. Overall I think you need Ambient Occlusion. Its the darkness you see when two objects are close. I also agree with the comment of needing a stronger light source. Nice illo though
The first thing that struck me was actually the lack of nipples. Ahah.
Like others have said, have another thought about the light source. The way you've shaded him's a little confusing and I /think/ you've made him a bit washed out.
And I'm no expert (far from it, especially in these matters) but it looks like the perspective might be mismatched between Lee and the buildings? Might want to look into that.
Except for the last image, your refs are badly distorted. One of the problems with working with photos - either uploading with the wrong pixel settings or lens aberrations, or both.
