Beautiful line style, and very fluid bodies! I love it.
Characters are delicious, man.
Glad to hear you're coming!
Have you been to NZ before?
Trashy, c@s, Mr--Jack, kiwigarbage, MeTaL-Mike, thanks
omgitsduane, they are some old characters hopefully when my coloring is getting better I have more time to develop fantasy characters
HunterKiller_, never go to NZ before, recently I have very frustrated time in work hopefully that will be a great break to refresh my mind, maybe you can bring me around
another new painting
Really enjoying these last two - nice change of pace with them.
This is great stuff! I haven't been around in a long time but you still got it. I take you were inspired by some of Bumskee's work huh? Heheh, nice homage anyway. How is everything going for you? Gotta get back into art and get to where you are...hopefully it's not long. Maybe I'll copy your work and start all over...
Anyway, take care and keep rocking out the good stuff!
I love the dynamic poses. Also, nice colouring.
bumskee, you finally appear, really looking forward to see your update, see how many your fans push your sketchbook to the front page, you will know how important you are in here, color is not easy it is hard ass to me
long time haven't use pen to draw so I start some life drawing with pen (your suggestion again bumskee)again
sweeeet, good anatomie skillz. keep it up!
hope you don't mind me doing a quick paintover,i think this might be the problem...
(chest is stretched, helps indicate shoulder position. lowered the arm because it'd hurt like to hell to have it like this)
Carnifex, thanks yeap the shoulder is a bit out so I fix it check it out the new value pic
Joce, zweiDee, thanks
algenpfleger, man you have real crazy thread. I always check it our your color, if you can give me some critiques I will be very happy
another value practice, but I think I loose the original line work feeling again
may try more value after this
very nice stuff! awesome studies! love those fighters! i'm looking forward to your next post!
values are good,i think better than the linework even. right chest (breast) still needs to be stretched, check with the mirror. i think opening her mouth into an evil grin might add an extra layer of storytelling to it. seems like she's some crazy adventurer taking on a giant...someone like that needs an evil grin
Values looking pretty sweet - enjoyed the pose in the 1st one - this one the feet are lined up making it not quite as dynamic.
The pen life drawing are super sick!
I think you mastered line and the human form altogether. Thats something to be proud of man. Your values and colors will come with practice. Do a couple master paintings too, might be of some help. Otherwise, I already know you are going to be rockin with colors soon enough, I see your determination, and its gonna pay off. Just don't fall when laziness comes around.
Those pen life drawings, fuckin great man.
As if a noob like me could give any useful critiques to someone of your level! Thanks a lot though. What helped me with colors was painting from life a lot, like, fruit and shoes, as boring as it sounds. The values on the last one are great, maybe it would be a good idea to use a very strong lightsource in the next one, that casts very definite and clear shadows. That would make you think a lot about how the rays fall. The colored version has some very nice cool/warm contrasts going on
Please keep it up man, your work is totally rad.
Your lines are beautiful, but your work and improvement with color is really striking...only a few pages ago you said you're starting to use color, and already your stuff is so great.
Keep up the awesome work.
I do need to update again. But with me being in the Marines, I don't have as much time as before. Just gotta wait it out and see what I can get into. My artwork is garbage right now...I tried some things...not pretty. Maybe one of these days I'll find a way to get a hold of you and you can teach me some things?
You're doing some great work as always, so there's nothing I need to say. Keep working on those colors (already making them look really good) and you'll be sick.
Wow, I think this is the first time I've seen a page from your sketchbook. Really nice.
I can't show you around, because I've never been to Wellington, haha.
Oh, I forgot to ask, so are you Chinese, too? Where were you born?
