First of all: Sorry for the terrible shots of the pencils. treat them as some kind of preview for the real stuff, today just was such a friggin dark day that "daylight" was practically not available at all. Better shots will com as soon as possible!
algenpfleger: thanks dude! Always a pleasure to punch you in the face hoping that you will stop improving so fast
~faust~: Thanks man!
Onnophris: thank you!
RandAlThor: hehe thank you mate! I will try to post some mroe stuff from now on, especially because I got a new digital camera so I don't need to actually sit down and scan that stuff ....yeah I'm a lazy bitch
mentler: Thank you evry much sir! Always good to hear stuff like that coming from a dude like you
So here we go again. A few studies (mostly bridgman), a more or less finished drawing and a Oil WIP. Not too much but I got a bit of everything in here I guess
More stuff to come soon!
Seems like you're taking this art-gig pretty seriously, no?
Damn! Now that's some draftmanship! I skimmed through your thread and man have you progressed! Makes me realize how much I need to get dawing more often.

faust- uhmmm well....yeah...kind of^^

dlqdnlnrnrdldllldldldldl -thank you man! Yeah i do not post too often in here, should change that
So heres a start on another "longer" study I am working on at the moment. I try to get some stuff into my portfolio that I can consider being the best that I could possibly do at the moment I was doing it.
So here we go, about 15 minutes done, basic shapes down and some basic features in the face so that I have got something to look forward to
I love your pencil work, expecially the lines. It is a pleasure to watch your artworks, thanks for sharing!
yeah man! solid construction behind this one! you feel the form.
haven´t seen the reff, but her head seems a bit small? might be foreshortening, dunno.
the top plane of her head seems to be at an "off" angle compared to the front plane of her face, sort of. crap.. ah, crap english. cant explain myself!
the whole world should speak esperanto!
good looking start anyhow! looking forward on seeing it finished!
Some really nice stuff on here, the studies inperticularly.
Really like the mix of different things you have goin on in your thread,
will be back to see more
Keep em comin!! - Also your point on crits is dead right!!
If you get a moment stop by to see my sketchbook
(stick with it, the early stuff is lame I know).... comments welcome
Nice work mate!!
so you are in love with Bridgman book, me too!
really nice stuff
keep it up
That study is looking good. I'm sure that the finish will look even better.
algenpfleger: thanks mate, unfortunately haven't worked on this one for too long till now, but thats gonna change
Hybrid-75: Thanks! Great to hear that !
andrea.bianco: Thanks man!
Flaskpost- Thanks man! Yeah I was kinda confused with this area as well, gonna work on that as I go through the rendering process, maybe it's just some kind of optical illusion
Chupacabra- Vielen Dank!!
gibb- thanks dude! Gonna visit your stuff soon!!
alshakno- yeah dude! Bridgman is THE dude! his studies force you to actually understand whats going on, because if you just copy them without understanding the structures he uses, they will most likely look like crap !
bharat- .....thank you man!
tias- thanks dude, I hope so as well !!
So here we go again. I guess I will call this dump a dump of junk since I am not really satisfied with any of them. Right now I think that my mind is further than my hands are. In my head I kinda know where I wanna go but my hands aren't catching up to my expectation. well at least things are getting better with each try
one of these is the beginning of a garlic-still-life drawing, In case you wonder what that one is all about
algenpfleger-Thanks dude....well ehm actually this is a simple DIN A4 Sketchbook
DStraX- thanks man!
here we are again, a new painting, a whole new bunch of stuff to learn.
This one is still wip, gonna work on it for another 5-6 hours. Oil on canvas, around 90cm x 70 cm
pages 1-10...well, I think it's quite obvious that there's been some monstrous improvement! very nice.
I really like your bold approach to the recent painting, it's something I've lacked a lot nowadays when drawing...courage. something I should learn very quickly! make sure that you update this thing regulary, these latest paintings got me addicted.
beautiful oil mate, I really enjoy the medium. Make sure you think bout the composition all the time! Thanks for the eye candy. Cheers man.
The latest oil is really nice. In regards to your graphite stuff, sometimes it helps to generalize the values a bit more- cast shadow one value, light form shadow another value, etc. It can help give a bit more visual order to things which makes the illusion more readily apparent, the detail of rendering can be nice but it can get a little distracting as many areas of high contrast or detail fight for the viewer's attention. All in all really good stuff and I really like the color palette you're using in these oils. Keep it up.
