void - Oh snap! I forgot to thank you for your paintover! I appreciate it!!
tom - I need a print of of your color guide
justin - I got that reation from a few people. I prefer the original, too. Actually though, it should'nt look feminine, because it's a she. Ruby red lips and long hair are confuing, I'm sure. i guess from watching too much anime a long time ago I got used to androgenous villains. Thanks for the comment!
Sirio_Brozzi - Thanks man!!
wakazou- hehe, i appreciate that,
Update. gotta start on something else. I'll come back tp this later, hopefully.
much better with arm to side of body, more in your face attitude, i wish i had your smooth painting style, if i could offer a crit for you it would be to maybe use some cooler tones in the shadows on the skin, seems there to saturated on the legs, dunno might just be me.
This last one is pretty hip Interceptor. It really has character! you should do serveral variations of this character. and do a super polished one!
Hey there! Beautiful figures all around. That last one is great!
Keep it up!

Great stuff! I love your style! The colors are great too, very comic-like!
(what a noobish comment)
Keep `em coming!
Very nice stuff! I like your style.
Keep it up, ciao
designboot - thanks, mate!
bradley - i'll have to go back and at the cooler tones, for sure. I'm ashamed that I missed it myself, thanks!
beelow - That's a great idea! I think I'll do some of those on the plane ride to San Francisco. There are a couple things when I was painting, I'd think "what if I'd done this instead?"
Spats - Thanks for the xomment
GriNGoLoco - Eek! Now! I think I'll hit the bridgeman for a bit after this piece, though. Can't forget the fundamentals
Dreamworker - Thanks for the kind words.
Enthombed - You're too sweet.
Badger - D00D! I have'nt spoke with you in a long time. Gotta add you to the new MSN. Thanks for checking up on me
Justin - All my males are a bit too curvaceous, eh? I think I had females on the brain too much.. well, you can never have them on the brain TOO much, heheh
Another updates, started this morning. crits / comments? Trying to hammer out some creatures before San Fran, Maybe an enviro or vehicle, too. It's seems like only as I have such little time before INSOMANIA that I'm getting the courage to just draw and try some new things.
Much agreed Thanks for popping by my book too loren, much obliged!
Simon - Thanks, bro! You've been kicking it into overdrive lately. Every week it seems liek you've got a pile of new stuff in the FF sections. Thanks for the comments
Mr Man - Hahah, it's a really feminine guy. It's my fault for not making it more readable as a male. Thanks, though . Can't wait to meet you.
Some friends are throwing me a 'going to san fran for a week' party tonight, so here is my last update for the night (silly canadians will use any excuse to drink)

hei! like how your last one is coming along, the mountains are looking very cool. he must be freezing... the feet I dont understand, does he have feet, or does he just hop around?
Heya Loren, you took my picture at the bus stop, I want it back . How many signed works did you bum off of the pretty girls Sunday?
Oh yeah, and you have some nice work here...so post more content already!
sketchbook...a kitten dies every time you don't comment

I personally think the contrast in your character colors is looking cooler with your recent updates .
As for that creature, I think the proportions, color choices and values all look fine. I'd say just carry on with it. I might suggest you to make his right shoulder pad to stick up just a little to balance with his left shoulder pad. I get the feeling that they're not very balanced but I could be wrong. Flip that image horizontally to make sure.
yeah, dude, same to you. Thanks alot to you and Blonde being the first guys i met up there. Your work is spectacular. keep it up!
FINISH THE GODDAMN PAINTINGS!
lol great work, but I still crave for more.

Why oh why do my colors always turn out so muddy? This is driving me insane.
I quit this picture because it seems it's unsalvagable at this point.
I'd say the light side of her face is getting there, you just end up mudding the darker side. Try usuing more of the light skintones and not so much darker ones, I think that is what is muddying it up. Also I'd say do a lot of color studies from photos/life, and see how the light reactes to those surfaces and objects. i.e the colors in shadows. Especailly with girl faces, they have to be dealt with very delicately, less is more in most cases. I also agree with Apathy about blending.
Hope that helped some. post #63 is brilliant! I would love to see that finished. and also your pencils are brilliant.
Yeah listen to Tom, Loren. Blending is evil. Brushstrokes especially semi-hard ones are much more beautiful to look at.
