Sketchbook: Stuff *updated in 1984* - Page 4
Very good stuff! from the last updates I like especially this one
Keep sharing, ciao
Superb Stuff. You can pull a lot of shadow tones from your pencil. Your line is good too. What school are you in?
There are not much good artist in finland. You are exception ... I wish I could have super skills like you

EDIT: ashh I posted accidentaly the same message twice
baretul - Thank you. It is heart warming to hear positive comments. I have come to notice Finland has surprisingly many good artists (here in CA too). I study fine arts in North Karelia AMK(polytechnic in english I think). You should start a sketchbook if you haven't already. I believe the knowledge floating around these foums vastly outweights that of any art school.
just doodling again:
realy like this sketch book, your images are so emotive and quirky, and they have a strong portrayal of direction. really cool stuff...
Good that you like Re@per. Thanks for stopping by in my book.
This oil painting is still in progress but I decided to post it anyway. I'm still pretty new into oils so any input would be appreciated.
I gotta say... it was your pencils that made me pick one up too. It's a nice change from all the wacoming. Cheers!
As for the oil, I'm afraid I can't offer much help being a beginner myself but I think you're on the right track - keep up the good work!
really nice character dude, dig the stance.. has quite a personality to him. Keep the updates coming. :3 Nice pencil work as usual.
Sirio_Brozzi - I'm glad that you like it. Often my figures can feel badly grounded. I too think that he came out ok.
Spats - pencils are fun. It's the best doodle medium for me
Wow I love your stuff so much! You have an incredible imagination.
This reminds me of Brock Sampson from The Venture Brothers. A less fit darker version of him, haha.
28chelseaslater - very cool of you to say so
My usual pencils again:
I'm loving the squid man, great work~
Hei Spats. Nice to see someone visit this thread more than once
The last update is very nice. I like your style, the shading looks simple but effective. Any new oils or coloured stuff?
Your gouache studies are really great. I've only worked with watercolor, but I have heard that gouche is a similar medium.
Shobunkin - Just realized they're year old now. Seems like I just did them. I havent done anything with gouache in a while. Nice medium though and not as hard as watercolours I think.
Troll - Thank you
A bit oldies
a better photo finally
final version of this. I am not happy with the plug thingy though.
...and a practice with oils from a few months back. I don't think I will complete this. Shawn Barber inspired btw.
Three fake propaganda posters done for a school project. Originals were done in acrylics then scanned and modified in photoshop. The size of one print is 250 cm x 90 cm
Some life studies on toned paper.
This is a really nice thread you got going on here. That first drawing in your previous post is unbelievable. Would definately put it on my wall in an instant. There's some very interesting and versatile drawings here. Maybe i'll give you four stars for now since I know judging by these last posts of yours that you'll soon be getting five stars regarding you keep on drawing. Tulen olemaan selkä täällä.
Kiitos. The life drawings are fun to do. Good change for imaginary work.
A sketch. Maybe to be used in a painting.
Trying to figure out light without reference...
your more recent stuff is really good
detailed-notdetailed, and vivid, thus realistic
PinkMonkeee - thank you.
A bit older work in progress I found from my hard drive and decided to continue. Any critiques on it would be great.
Late night doodling... Name the game!
a page from my sketchbook...
That june 29th post is awesome. Really like the pose and the the fact that it is not overly rendered. It is also to my eye not just another creature sketch you see here everyday. It has some emotion to it. Great job.
I think that you have a great talent, don't stop sharing!
