Im really liking these recent paintings Luxun man! You render form pretty well. I like how u painted the monkey guy's hair and the batman's suit. Those little wrinkles of highlights really brings it to life!
Man, 5/5. Can you pleeeeeaaaase make a tutorial video of you coloring stuff? I really need to pick up some advise... =/
AWEsome! How much hours do you draw a day?? I'm 17 too, and hoping to become as good as I can get.
So I was wondering how much hours I have to practise at least. You are really good at this.
Bendragon: thank you man
Wolfbane: thanks, im not sure im gonna make a video tutorial, i might sometime though.
Vigilandus: thanks man, it varies a lot. The amount of free time i have means a lot.
A little update:
fantastic work Lukun, I believe there are a small handful of teens working at professional level, and you are certainly one of them.
On some of your older work, you made everything very "shiny", like every surface was made from the same material, last one seems to be an improvement on that, but I suggest maybe doing some studies from life using textures to emulate what you see, just a thought. Your concepts are really great, keep working amigo
Alexc: thank you for the feedback
Another little update.
I usually dont post much of what i color of other peoples work here, do you guys think i should?
anyway here are some.
first, a couple of drawings by a girl called Elizabeth Cowdrey.
lines: Elizabeth Cowdrey

And some drawings by Tim Kelly
Lines: Tim Kelly
Hey not visited here in a while due to the lack of internet.. Plenty of nice updates i havent seen, all looking lush as ever. It seems your own linework, character design etc has improved, which is good to see because your colours have always been the most dominant aspect of your work, it seems there coming to a nice balance. Good work, keep up the efforts.
it's very awesome SB, and i don't know why it has only 4 stars but not 5.
i give you 5 stars
ps i love Final Fantasy guy and first sketch on this page
thank you for the comments all, they are appreciated.
Been coloring some comics and stuff lately, but with school and stuff ive been too lazy with my own stuff imo.
here are a couple of things though, nothing special.
Hey an update....cool stuff. i like the Halloween Piece. Something bothers me about the reflection with the Ironman pic, not entirely sure...maybe it should be a little more broke up and blurred as he's traveling at speed? anyway good to see you updating, More of this pleasE.
A little update, not that much but better than nothing i hope
And some color.
A couple of pages for a story called protostar.
Lines by Ray Height on all four.
A Thor thing, Lines by Olivier Coipel.
And a street fighter pic.
Lines by Jeffrey Cruz
you are seriously an amazing colorist man, much respect to you. You've got some very good lines to work on, but the colors add another level to them. What comics did you color? and whats your fllname btw?
keep sharing the goodness, much envy and much respect from me
When i saw that streetfighter pic over on dA i was plesently surprised... did a really good job on giving that some extra umph!
I like and dislike the way you handle highlights (as ive said before), i think sometimes theyre too over the top... like in the Mr burns picture it seems like its overkill on some of the parts of the material. Also the colours you work in... when working from light>dark its like youre just going up in value. Maybe my thought process is wrong but I think more undersaturated/complimentary colors could work wonders ...
Still, your bright and punchy style is an inspiration... still tryin to give my shit that extra impact at the moment, so yea... ive got loads to learn so my opinion may not have much of a leg to stand on
wow great work!
Hey man!!!!! You're back from the grave!!!!!! And what a dump!!!!
Great to see uve been busy n what you've been up to. Its good that u also explored other mediums and have lots of veriety to your work.
Keep us updated dude!!!!!!
