Blade-14-Thanks for stopping in
TheGnoll-Thanks man, tring to update more regularly, we'll see how often it actually happens...
Well, been too lazy to scan things in lately, so heres a couple of digitals I worked on.
Crits and Comments are always welcome.
Ok, another small update
This one started out with a different feel. I'm not sure whether I like the result, but I tried to just go with it as I was drawing.
I've been trying my hand at some quick landscape paintings lately. Can't seem to wrap my head around blocking in with value instead of relying on line as I usually do with my drawings of people. Any advice anyone can give here would be greatly appreciated.
Crits and Comments always welcome.
TheGnoll-Thanks man. I've been thinking about working on that guy a bit more... I actually like the warthog a lot better than the rider right now, so maybe he'll change.
Alright, another quick enviro study... still struggling there but I'll keep plugging away at them. Also a quick drawing of what I imagine is a cooking lesson of sorts.
Any comments or crits are welcome.
Thanks for stopping by and giving me some advice. It'd be great to see some of your animation work...you do 2d animation full-time? I envy you.
The improvement from last year to now is amazing, your pieces look strong and so full of personality now, and it's good to see you exploring a lot of different themes and ideas
u know if i was to work with u in a company on a project it'd be my greatest pleasure, im serious your style is just so humble and full of quality. It's something i really dig in artwork, just doing what needs to be done to sell the effectiveness of the image. really nice work man
Why do u stick your nose in other families business'. Come on dude don't u have any HOBBIES?
My sketchbook beckons, ave a look see?
alenacat- Thanks. Sorry to disappoint but I animate in 3d for work. I still get to do some 2d stuff for fun and it works out ok since I'm probably a better animator than an artist.
Blade-14 - Thanks very much
Ok, busy week, so I haven't gotten much done. I did start on a drawing that I'm gonna try getting some color into here soon (gasp... color?). Any comments or crits on this one before I take it further would be appreciated.
Ok, so heres a first pass at color which I always have trouble with. Gonna keep working on this for a bit. Any suggestions would be very welcome.
Jimmy, sketch looks pretty tight, but the color could use a bit more work. Theres a really strong cast shadow indicated (as if the light is coming from the right), but its not really showing on the figure. Push the values/contrast on thsi one to make it pop out more. Ciao.
Well, itīs a nice development since I last dropped in. I can relate to the blocking in colors challenge when doing digital paintings.
The rugged tattooed girl looks nice. My only thing is that the right foot ankle looks awefully thin. Plus Sirio_Brozzi is right about the cast shadow. There should be more evidence of the lightsource.
Will b back. (if you update )
A tutor once said to me: "Let your mind go!" and it didnīt come back.
