These last two are AMAZING. I'm pretty sure i commented on that guy before, but i don't care. I love it.
Sith- thanks for the nice comments, you probably saw the same model under my brother's sketch book or anyone that goes to Watts here.
Koroshiya001- thanks a lot.
Here are some concepts done for my visual developement class. Done in photoshop.
I am going to fix the crossed legs here, probably turn the lower half into something more snake like. Right now it just looks like she, or it, has to pee real badly.
Background here, well everything here, is a bit inspired by Beksinski
Here are some 3d shots of an ipod shuffle. Its floating a bit and I got to dull down that reflection. Created in Maya, using Nurbs. Rendered in Maya software...Mental Ray scares me
I am currently modeling a character in Maya and Zbrush, along with some accessories. I hope to have that done shortly.
I particularly like your pencil work, although that painted stuff and the gestures are awesome too.
I'm really glad you commented in my SB (at least I think you did, it's been a day or so since I looked) so I could find your work. ; ) I hope you continue to visit and give me feedback! I will continue to come here and drool.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Absence and booze.
There are no small sketchpads, just small artists.
The make-perfect button must come from within.
Hmm... I think you might like working with higher opacity in your digital stuff. Try keeping it either around 30% or 60%. Love the watts stuff and the traddy stuff.
Bad Brownie - Thanks for the wonderful comments, I'll stop by your sketchbook from time to time to give my input. I am glad you found it useful.
Ksama-Thanks, Ill have more figure paintings to post on Wednesday.
Pixeldragoon- I kept the opacity in mind with this peice that I am about to post. I used to paint with about 20 opacity, maybe some of my edge work isnt as soft as it should be?
Warrior for a story that I am working on. Should have a background and prop up by Wednesday...its due for class by then.
I am never happy with the way the "Save for Web" feature in photoshop drastically changes color, anyone know of a way to prevent this from happening? Or do I just have to adjust the colors afterward?
Thanks a lot for the visit and advice that you've left on my sketchbook!
You have a lot of nice drawings here and I'll certaily keep an eye in your sketchbook! ^^
About the photoshop question. Yep, there's a way to prevent that.
Take a look in this link and you'll see a screenshot with indications from what to do. I hope it helps! ^^
Wow, those figure drawings are awesome! Thanks for stopping by to comment on my sketchbook, your advice was well appreciated. I actually heard my drawing teacher echo that same thought in class the other day. I like the feminine look to that demon and I am truly looking forward to seeing more of your work. Thanks again...
you def know your anatomy, i liked the painted gesture studies at very top, you could work some pen over the top maybe some colour pencil just for fun it could look good or not
Anuran-Thanks, glad my feedback helped you out and thanks for popping in my sketch book.
bradley-thanks...I have a decent knowledge of anatomy, it still isn't where I would like it to be though...not even close, there is still so much more I need to know about it.
Thanks for dropping by my SB. I love your 2 drawings that are perferctly shaded. Love them...i can't have any coments here...Keep it up.
Check put my schetchbook if you please
hey thx .... my water color that im gona be scanning soon is of my ipod and you have an suffle nice haha well thx for the comment and the tips i love your work
Thanks for the comments guys
ArcoNL- try some quick paints before you tackle a larger painting...I feel that the shorter repetitions of quick paints help hone skills before diving in a larger painting.
Heart x Slayer-I'll drop by your SB after you get that watercolor done. Thanks
The first group here are quick paint studies from some of Brom's work.
This next batch came from class...where we had to take the model's pose and put him into an invented environment...trying to tell a story. Some of my panels could be re-arranged to tell it better. A really cool project. All of these were 15 minutes.
The pose for this last one was cool that I had to break the format and paint it in my sketch book.
Heh, thanks for the look at my SB. You did mine so of course I'll do yours...
I'm really digging your gestures, especially in paint*drools*
I can really see how you can say I need to work on my figures poses. Mine look like cardboard cutouts compared to yours, haha.
All in all I'd have to say really great stuff, I want to see more.
These are sweet Mr. Smitherines! Especially the ipod and gargoyle pieces. Thanx for your comment. Keep up the great work!
thank for commenting my DOODLE. Now it's my turn. I can see that you have a very strong anatomy knowlege.
"I am currently modeling a character in Maya and Zbrush"
lol believe it or not I'm actually doing the same thing. I'm using Maya and ZBrush too. Nice 3D program choice. I'm working on a car and a game character right now and will post soon.
You might want to check out Digital Tutors and GNOMON video and DVD. They have tons of Maya and Zbrush. Good luck.
Brall- thanks man
Corel Painter IX- I have the gnomon DVDs on zbrush and maya. they are good. I got to admit, i am going to wimp out on the zbrush part since i have little to no knowledge on it. I was messing around with it and got some decent results but with time constraints...im doing my character all maya.
