Such cool lines amarryth. How was the trip?
love the stuff you did in that new moleskine! great style, nice compositions...cant really think of something you miss...
maybe you can try to use more planes instead of just lines? not that this isnt lovely, might be fun to try though
edit: hmm i see you also do that on earlier pages... what the hell, just continue what you're doing and keep improving yourself!

Samuel Gray: Thanks, Sam! I had a great time.. the weather was fantastic and I ate a lot of delicious food. Parts of Montréal remind me of Europe.. and that makes me happy.
Grandmassa Mr. Spect: I was look forward to your enthusiasm!
ajvenema: "...what the hell, just continue what you're doing and keep improving yourself!" Hahaha.... I'm stubborn, I probably will just keep doing what I'm doing... but I do want to get better.
Over the summer, I am actually loosely following the program in 'The Natural Way to Draw' by Nicolaides. I've had the book on my shelf since my fundamentals year at Sheridan.
Something completely different..... and breaking my rule of no digital!
I've been working on a window design for a yoga studio, originally they were going to use the silhouette of a figure in a posture and then decided to completely stray away from it. Here's what I've come up with...
lovely linework in your sketches, top stuff.

Ah, it's all good. I wont be particularly active over the next few days either. I have that stupid art history time line to complete. I have to fill the accordian book 0_o. So no life for me lol.
Love the design on the last one though, it's really pretty. Can't wait for you next lot of posting.
Sweet design ama, and I would try out what factor said about the different line widths. Fun stuff!
woooow, awesome lines!!! wish i could do these however, practice is the clue
and, as two people said before. different line width would be cool! i recommend loomis, he describes pretty good how to do this!
the drummer is great!! nice sb!!!!
yay! i'm back! i always come back.. finally settling into my routine of two jobs and full time classes.. i gotta say i'm pretty proud of myself.
here are a few pages from a new sketchbook.. gonna try to get my hands on a big fat scanner today and show you guys some of what i've been doing in life drawing!!
hey dude moleskines are looking good
wish i could hang with you guys in toronto T_T
keep it up > : D
sooooo... now that i've gotten my hands on a brand new computer, scanning is faster, uploading is faster.. everything is faster! yay!!!!!
i still have to get those life drawings in digital, for now.. here's a bit more to the sketchbook.. i seem to be approaching this one in a different way.. doing a bit on a page, moving on, and then going back and adding.. i'm really excited to see where this one goes.. it will likely be instrumental in my VERY exciting new project (amongst the many other ones for school)..
in other news, i've become an after effects addict.
Good life drawings, I can see that the right side of your brain is working hard
You have a fantastic eye for design. I love how you blend in your pen sketches with some color. your images really pop out and demand to be looked at. The drummer is a really great piece. I get a sense of the moment.
due to technical difficulties... this is a day late...
first digi on the new computer!
and thanks to everyone who has visited recently! your comments do not go unnoticed, i'm so happy to hear you all loving my design.. it's definitely a direction i'm leaning in!
Thanks, Mischeviouslittleelf & Peetaer! It wasn't my first digi ever, just first on my new mac. Huge difference working on a screen bigger than 14"!
Here are a few random things in my sketchbook, I've been hopping around this book a bit more so much of this will be just WiP, and the last image is a close-to-complete assignment I handed in for my information illustration class, in which I chose to do a network diagram of the events that occurred within my car, during what turned out to be my last few weeks with it. RiP first car.
Thanks for stopping by my book amarryth you have some nice stuff going on in here! I can't offer any crits because i'm trying to improve myself so just keep going!
some cool stuff, keep it up. i really like the use of text in your work. looks like something from a magazine but more artsy
oooh, your linework stuff is wonderful. I must concentrate on scenery and cityscapes more myself ö_ö
