Ok I did a quick color over one of my sketches, this was just for experimenting and practice, no plans to take it any further as of now.

Hey Mitch, wow these are really good. I didn't think you were THAT good. jeez. I really like the portraits.
I have to agree with CheekYM2, I like the portraits. pld:
Really superb drawings. There's a nice textured feel to your digi's, in the latest one and COW. Work from ref is very solid, keep studying. Perhaps try using a bigger brush to build up values on those greyscale speeds... and by big I mean huge .
Also, please keep feeding me those awesome drawings.
the faces are great! do you profile for the police? (that was supposed to be a compliment... worked better in muh head). though my fav is the demon with the half there/half not horns. anyway, just droppin by to say good stuff
critique it bitches! : http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=75293
Meatsworthy: Thanks a lot bud, i'll do that next time.
orionterron99: Haha no I don't. I should though, i'd be making a lot more money than I am now! Thanks for dropping by.
sorry for a small update but here are some more sketchbook pages. I finally got myself a moleskin! I've been wanting one for awhile. I've been experimenting with color pencils as well! Here are the first two pages in my moleskin and some portraits in my other sketchbook. enjoy.

That colored bald guy is amazing!
Meatsworthy: Thanks a lot!
ashrumm: thanks bud, I'll do my best.
Here is a small update, I managed to take a very crappy camera phone picture of some of the life drawing we did today in class. Sorry for the quality.
THIS WAS DONE WITH MY LEFT HAND. (I'm a righty) I didn't manage to get any pics with my main drawing hand (right). 1 min each:
Hey the studies are looking real good. I cant even do that with my right hand haha. Do you use any guidlines? I don't see any. But still looks great, especially if you can do them without guidelines.
CheekYM2: Thanks for stopping by!
That fat kid: Look! I finally finished something haha. This one goes out to you. Sorry it's not pencils.. Thanks bud.
Here is a phil Hale study. I Had fun with this:

just wanted to pop by say I admire your progress and dedication. The Hale stuy looks amazing.
Keep drawing man, you'll be 5 star in no time.
I know that you probably prefer advice over compliments. I am not in any position to be giving you advice, but it seems wrong not to say anything after enjoying such a cool sketchbook.
So here you go.
Very nice sketchbook, the anatomy studies are impressive. Your interpritation of bridgeman is quite interesting. I think I like your version better, more coherent I think.
That last digital was excellent. The rendering is beyond my comprehention, as I am just beginning to investigate digital painting. My experience lies mostly in pencil, you appear to havevery a good grasp on that medium.
Seeing art like this coming from someone so close to me in age makes me worried. I have so much work to do, to even be able to compete with people like you that... well...
To much talking I'm off to draw. You provoked me to it, so I hope that you can deal with the consiquences of your art.
Skeiff man, let me just say that the Hale study is nice as rice! How long did that take to complete? I'm digging the studies you're busting out too, especially the page with eyes. And that SP is dead on, great work. It's interesting to see people's work when they do it with their opposite hand; I tried that a few months ago and it almost seemed as if my 'regular' hand improved as well, keep that going! But keep it up here man, improvement is evident!
dig all your studies dude!
big improvement , and its cool to see how you did the last study, thanks!

i saw your avatar in Blonde's book, had to take a pit stop here. and thankgod that's your painting (i guess Hales technically...). beautiful man. made my day right there. now i can get back to painting. but before i get out of here- i gotta drop you 5. a toast- to Skeiff!
Haha, skeiff You and aaron (ashrumm) are beating the same drum. he just bought a phil hale book a few weeks ago. So I've been studying up on hale also. Got to say, you've really produced a quality piece with that study man. keep up it up man. Talk to you Soon, How long did that Phil Hale study take you??
Whats up playboy skeiff that digi is as good as it gets! man we must think alike
because i've been currently studying phil hales work i just recieved a book of his in the mail. Great artist this man is!! You did his work extreme justice i'm proud of you boy! this is a very nice recreation. I was planning on doing one myself. Keep up the good work bro!! If you didn't know the piece is called BETTER its one of his strongest peices!! Good work!!
Great Job! Phil Hale is by far my favorite artists, and I love this piece, I can't believe how good you got it! Which brushes did you use to get that effect? Whenever I look at his stuff I think it can only be done in oils traditionally. It still looks a little smooth, but its still spot on!
hey dude! you have some really nice stuff goin on, i love the pencil studies.. I don't know if you knew this or not, but it's kinda ironic that you did a phil hale study in digital, because to my knowledge he looks down upon digital and says it makes bastard artists or something.. don't quote me, but that's the general idea i got. anyway, it is still a pretty nice study.. phil's work contains a huge wealth of knowledge, good to see you have the balls to do a study. keep on truckin
