Lot of heads here, you have sure crancked out a lot of stuff while i have been gone. Try some female ones now, i see only male heads around here.
You know, girls have heads too. =)
Great face studeis, takes a lot of dedication to draw as many as that. Impressive that you have some with out a ref.
I also need a new imagehost, have a few hundred kb left.
Is that just a regular grey marker you are using? The idea of constructing a sceleton with them and then make details with a pen is neat. I's like to try that out.
Here is a image host i found. It looks like it's reliable and it has unlimited banwith and space. http://iup.in/index.php?
What? No lady heads? Do you have a special affection for guys? But then again this stuff is neat. The demon head in the top left on the first page is cool.
I think you should try out some studies of some variated faces. Maybe some fat and old ones. There is a lot to learn there.

ok - so i been spending some time just trying to relax into drawing, it was getting a bit too rigid and 'artificial' if that makes any sense at all. I was just starting to feel a bit like I was drawing cus I had to (well, I do have to, but you know..)
So I had a wee rest, then last night just decided to doodle with my markers for a while to try and relax and get used to heads without so much rigidity, and trry and vary the proportions and such. I need to do some female studies, but there are some more cartoony females in there who all look a bit odd, but it's a start.
I did a lot, cos I now want to do a set of studies, and then do another set to see if there's any improvement, y'see?
anyway, just look away if it gets too crappy for y'all.
here you go:
Wheeeeee! all done!
Weclome back. THe heads are good doodles. Quantity over quality as they say.
THe sausage riding guy is cool and with a good dynamic pose. The left leg could have been twisted a bit more foreward, but that is my opinion.
It is good that you are back with us again.
hahahah kool stuff
ty 4 comments! markers are not copic, these are real cheap and nasty (well not that nasty) kurecolor markers. just a fat chisel-tip.
i use them instead of my pantones cos I'm one of those people who dont like to feel that I'm wasting the good stuff - lame I know, but I'm getting better
This is my last 'dump' style post for a while. I think I've got a to a place now where I can see that I am improving, so my future posts will be more considered and carefully chosen. I'll still maintain a high output of studies and pages of stuff to learn about proportions, anatomy and composition but it feels a bit like spamming the thread with crap which nobody will care about but me, and as it has achieved my objective of marking some sort of progress I am changing my own rules so there
anyhoo - 'The final dump' <parp!>
IS this for any competition? The final design looks good. The bone nunchucks are a nice addition. Just be sure the hands are actualy grabbing them. Like on the right hand one of the fingers are actually going through it.
its for the game art comp on cgchat as it happens. I used to do them often but I got so busy at work I didnt really get round to it for a long while now. I thought it would be good to go back to my old haunt for a one off effort
more wrestling with stylised figure proportions - seems hard after spending time doind so many real studies
anyway here some stuff which is less-crap than the majority as I'm working through this area of troublesomeness..
