In my neverending quest to make art that is both functional and decorative... err... anyway, I present my latest creation, the Cthulhu incense burner. It doubles as a wall hanging sculpture. At any rate, I'm still trying different finishes, but I rather like the black and the antique finishes. I'm currently selling them in my eBay store (click images to be taken there).

Looks awesome on the wall, but I agree that when it is flat it could be mistaken for some ordinary sealife and not the great, obtuse, obscene, unfathomable, blasphemous great old one hisself.
That's the problem with doing a representational portrait of Cthulhu without including at least shoulders and some hint of wings- he's pretty simply described as having a head that looks like a squid. The only way to make it interesting is in the details (ribbed tentacles for instance are not found on any cephalopod I know of). Ah well, squid are interesting enough creatures in their own right.
