i love drawing (not to good at it but still) but i cant get in the mood to every time i sit down and think im gunna draw summin i get distracted. i mean i sit in an empty room and still find something else to do instead of drawing.
anyone got any ideas on how to keep my mind on the art and not on the dust floating by me ?.
btw i know u gotta practice to get good so dont comment on that please lol
no 1 ?
I would love to ban you
umm why ? i was asking a general question.......
draw yourself posting this thread?
edit: OR you might want to learn how to play the drums... this kid is all set
you know you could be just as good. You aren't getting any younger, just saying...
ah and can you tell me how to draw faces and people ? i really cant i reckon a 2 yr old cud draw ppl better than me lol i cna only seem to draw cars...... which is good for a while.......
why don't you draw a flamethrower of exponetially expanding energy?
the trick to drawing faces is to visualize a face and what it looks like when you are drawing it!
thanks jack i might leave the flamethrower for a bit tho and get a bit better lol. but the thing about faces shud help quite a bit
aw cumon, just picture like the galaxy with a flamethrower coming out of it, and you can put a caption reading "I am burning the universe! lol ! "
Draw eight hours a day. Don't care about the outcome, just draw. Draw everything you see around you, your hands, your legs, your face, your computer screen...Don't care about how bad it turns out at first. Repetition and patience is the key. Thats pretty much it...
8 hours a day ?! ok il try lol
OK I'll spit a little...
Everytime I "sit down to draw" I go through this "I don't feel like it" phase, which i've decided is just intimidation or fear or something like that. I'm pretty sure the feeling is something like "Oh, it just gonna suck anyway. Why bother?"
When I push through this mode, or feeling, I always come away with something that I'm happy to have done.
I've taken the unspoken advice of soooo many CA members and delved into the learning process (Construction, composition, perspective, Bridgeman, Loomis, gen anatomy, shading, the quick sketch, bla-bla, endlessness here...) And if I've got no current inspiration- or if I've got no time or motivation to sit and have a drawing session I just doodle a little. Something inadvertantly comes out. Never perfect, but always usable!
That's how my avatar happened.
So, close your eyes. What do you see?
Ok then, OPEN your eyes. What do you see?
No don't tell me!
Draw me a picture or something.
hey I have another idea if you're up for a battle or maybe a challenge? draw a reverse lobster sandwich. man, I have tried and it is tough, but I would love to see it done!
ya i guess i go thru the "its going to be pointless and its gunna suck phase"
il pass thanks jack lol
A two year old could write better than you, too.Originally Posted by manic monkey

This thread made me giggle with delight.
i think i feel the same like Marko, but not describing it the same way
The thing is...LOOK THROUGH THIS SITE IN DIFFERENT THREADS AND YOU WILL NEVER ASK AGAIN WHAT YOU CAN DRAW OR THAT YOU NEED SOME IDEAS...
....btw...it's like sitting in a harem and playing with your penis....
fozzy that was weird man....
Mainloop- man i must be dyslexic.. cuz i thought you asked how many people are on lsd
If you're no good at drawing but you'd like to learn but you don't know where to start... buy some cheap drawing book from your local book store. Don't spend any money on those really expensive ones at first. Just try and copy everything you find in the cheap one, even if it's only dino's or knights or spacemen.
ok zergaloth il do that thanks
n0fish that is IT!
Can we get a tutorial on that?Originally Posted by Fozzybar

The Reverse Lobster Sandwich.
Yup, you guessed it; a piece of bread between two layers of Lobster salad.
Cut me some slack tho- it started as an oreo cookie.
Go ahead ask me for a Bacon Foreslash.
