Good variety in subjects and solid basics. I wish my sketch book looked like this

that speedpaint looks great so far. the water needs some foam and splashes and stuff added to it where it falls. also a little texture for the current of the water would help but other than that, it looks great. i really like the color palette
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

lovely SB man! nice concepts characters and enviros, very original!
A crit for your colours though, I dont know much about the subject but to me they seem pretty monotone, you are either staying in cool colour region or the warm one, try mixing them up abit and get more colours in there, in this one for example http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...100/jungle.jpg abit of red somewhere would have been great to produce a focal point and make it pop.
lol Im really bad at explaining things but hopefully you understand me...
Keep it up man!!
yoo thanks for the comments, really appreciate it. I agree about what you said Archi, im too ''random '' with my use of color, i need to work on that, especially the Warm vs cold like you said , like light area vs shadows areas, warmer light = cooler shadows... if thats what you mean
And im surprised that you guys like my characters/creatures since my lack of anatomy is obvious. need to work on that ! watch out for the next update
realy nice characterfinding, good and funny ideas
like it, like it very much
good job there!
your coloured peices are great!!
is it painter or photoshop you use there?

plasma cannon , 512 x 512 diffuse,spec,normal
heres the ref i used
any suggestions would be appreciated
have a good sunday!
Haha man your "drug-sketch" rocks
hmm jsut a question are using a tablet and waht might a beginner like me , should get, oh and am loven the enviorments their interesting, hmm
Very cool stuff you got here. I really like the way you use brush strokes. I love the economy of line/color in the second piece from post 45. My only crit is that sometimes it looks like you are using gray to add shadow, instead of a darkened local color.
All your posts look good. I am especially partial to the black cityscape you posted a while back. Nice visual!
hey guys, thanks for dropping by
-TheChosenone, I use a small graphire 2, smalles one, goes one for around 70 bucks i guess, but i think the intuos are better for the pressure on the tip, so its a bit smoother
-nofinger ill try to work on that i think im not accurate enough with colors and i go too much random with em Do you always work with warm/vs cold on your stuff ?
Looking excellent so far, it's really cool that you're doing all these various different subject matters. Will keep an eye out for your SB.
Hey, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook!
I really like these landscapes at the very beginning -- I think you have a really good handle on colors. And I like the scanned sketches. Looking forward to more! ... Btw, what does the "C" stand for?
yeah, more warm/cool colours is what I meant seems like youve started working that out in some of your sketches, you can see that it instantly adds more depth... The best ones imo are these two: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...0/KINGCHOW.jpg
keep it up

i wish o could update more often but work take most of my time, but trust me if i could paint all day long i would do it. *vacation soon *!!!!
Dan & jammerstein, ill take a look at your stuff later guys
One more thing, i got a question to anyone whos reading this, I'd like to know what you guys think about painting with pressure set on opacity VS painting at ~50% with a bit of influence on the size with the pen pressure. I tried both and i kinda feel more confortable with the opacity set to pressure, however my ''stroke economy'' isnt as clean as with the second option... Also color mixing seem to be more natural with a low opacity brush. Maybe i should not worry about this and just goes with what i feel, or just swap the 2 during the process.. i would be trully happy if anyone could give me their opinion on the subject.
