Hey gnoll, looking good dude. I dont know if its based off this but the greyscale illustrations done for warhammer 40k are always really inspiring : ) This one is looking good so far, only things i notice is that the placement of the foot on the left guy looks a bit odd, as if its not grounded, might be lack of shadow. Also try making the canvas bigger so the flag isnt cropped off and gives the piece some breathing room. Like where this is going, keep going at it! Ciao. :3
oh man!i draw a pict from warhammer 4000 to:-) bu with witch hunters :-)
@Teh Gosu: thanks, glad ya liked it
@Dreamworker: ci provo grazie Paolo
@Jorge Gecov: thanks
@OldNoobie: color color color.Yep, i need to start usign some color.I'll have more time as soon as the school's over.Thanks Lee
@kischi: thanks man
@Sirio_Brozzi: thanks man, i'll keep those crits in mind.Btw, its WH40k inspired, i used to stare at those greyscale illos for ages as a kid.
@VanDog: thanks dude!
@bumskee: you're right lady...actually i think this is a tad too complicated for me right now.I'll have to start doing some lightning studies as soon as i have time.Thanks for stopping by!
ok guys.These have been fairly good days, but there ain't much decent art to show.I have just been doodlin' away these last few days.That greyscale pic above is damn hard and i'm having some problems with lighting...i probably just ain't ready for something like that yet
i'll update asap
meanwhile, just a stupid PS doodle.
hahaha, awesome robot
About my comment on concept recycling...it's a tricky one i know. I think the key is to try to figure out stuff on your own, creating your own "technoligy" or worlds... it's hard but you're doing great!
keep at it!

Some great designs here, man. Your pencil technique is getting really strong, as well. You have some very clean, strong outlines.
Two crits, one specific and one general. First, in this most recent pic, the robot's lower legs are way too short and its feet are way too small. Second, you need to do more with color! If you get good at color it'll had a whole new dimension of greatness to your work.
Draw on, my friend. Draw on.
Awesome work as always, you do some fun creature concepts. I especially love the pincer dude at the top. Haha and the robot amuses me, looks like he's dancing (it actually reminds me of this dumb Aquaman dance that Cartoon Network used to play). I'm with Moai, I'd love to see more color!
Keep it up~
hey hey cheers to the incoming page 23!
keep em comin
Shit man. Those pencil drawings at the top of this page are nuts. Absolutely lovely rendering and textures on those.
The gray scale digital painting is a bit iffy. Your values are kinda all over the place, no one character is given a ton of focus, it's all kinda spread over the place and the composition is a little awkward because of it. Try using some bigger digital brushes when you're starting out, might help to resolve that a bit.
More updates please. :3
eheheh nice robot Ryan ! molto divertente
Now thats what I call some original robot design keep the
experimentation UP! and don't forget to draw more
women, the more you neglect that in the early years
of development the harder ill be to solve in the future
color this sucker or DIE
ya now I love your designs, and like
the pose of this one tons as well.

@hurricane: thanks man.I was great to OC with ya the other day
@Moai: thanks! the robot thing was just a doodle, and i didn't think of proportions...about the other crit, you're damn right.I'll see what i can do about that

@Call0ps: hehe thanks man!
@BOOM!: thanks, i'll try
@Ryn: thank you, its nice to see you stop by...man i suck at digi/color...i'll see what i can do
@Dreamworker: grazie Paolo
@lefran: thank you!
@OldNoobie: thanks Lee
@maxetormer: you are damn right as usual man...i'm already looking for some refs for the chicks and you're right, i forgot that warthog guy
@dan liimatta: thanks man, nice to see you stop by
ok guy, just a bump/reply post for now.
I did some OCing, but i still ain't satisfied with the results...these recent days have not been good for drawing.School final exam is getting closer and closer and i'm hanging out with a girl recently so i've got less time than usual...and yes, inspiration's a bitch as usual...hope to show more soon
thanks for the support guys
heh,dwarf looks more like a psycho barbarian to me,but that's probably because there's no body and i'm still stuck on the tolkien-esque depiction in my mind
venom looks pretty much like the filmed one,didya see it? looks abit too much like a guy in a suit to me,but then again i'm pretty biased (cause of the drooling maniac depiction)
Hehe the dwarf is funny, and Venom looks good. However I don't like this skinny Spiderman3 version of Venom, it was a little disapponting for me.
But this is not your fault so you did a good job as always
Nice update, I like especially the pose of Venom
You've got some cool stuff goin' on in here. I can really see some technical growth from the beginning thread to the latest. Great stuff!
Awesome work man, I really like your characters. Cool style too.
"No, on second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place."
Been a while... the grayscale illo looks good!
And the robot has some potential...keep exploring that design.
Nice updates and characters! Like your warhammer thing - always nice that stuff- ultramarines rule
i like a head of the funny men with beard
keep it up!
@Carnifex: hehe its supposed to be a crazy WH trollslayer...very different from the usual dwarf yeah, that venom was done after watching the movie.I preferer the big bad venom too, i should do something like that soon
@kischi: thanks man don't worry, i'll do a good looking big bad venom soon
@Lone Wolf: thanks man, will do
@Dreamworker: grazie Paolo
@DennisCurrie: thanks for stopping by man, and for the nice words...i hope to improve MUCH more
@Sanest: thank you
@Bard: thanks man, much respect to your work too
@Pascallo: chaos rules thanks man!
@VanDog: i will, thanks man!
oki...i'm pretty busy with school stuff (final exam is getting closer and closer) and other shtuff, so there ain't much to show really...but to show i do still draw here are some doodles
hope to show something better soon
wuzzup ol bitch ?
gettin alittle motivated again?
i like the new updates on the last 2 posts.
this one got some nice and loose lines , i like it when you SKETCH that way. looks like u had fun with this.
that venoms pose is great buddy. i see you hatched it first and then put some tones over the hatching , looks not that accomplished to me. the web got some nice rubber effects looks like you īve done some experiments.
the anatomy does not convince me . and honestly i get the feeling looking through your sb you donīt take it seriously enough. i mean if you donīt want to no prob. but if you do i hope you donīt think that with every character you do the anatomy is getting better ...at this rate you will maybe in one year figure out how the biceps is done perfectly , and in the other 3 years how the deltoids naturaly work. .. regarding rendering , you īve come very far with it on photoshop , but not that far with your pencils somehow. iīm sure you already could do it better. maybe imagine the pencil is a very small sized cs brush , and just go over the pic like you told me in oc , but just the reversed way from white to balck . best fill the pic with a midtone, put in some darks and erase some light in it , however i couldnīt figure it out myself best. only that it need a lot of time and patience, and willpower and.. blah blah.
just thought i get a bit serious here
last update . the rat thief . it looks very good for a sketch . hehe i was going for something like that 2 weeks ago but had to submit the original and got no time to scan. but now when i think of we share some same thoughts regarding medieval armour . especialy the good ol earrings . whata stereotypical stuff! i mean itīs ok when you do one character with earrings in a year. dunno if you have mad emore . but now i hit the point of limitation and when you have no ideas at all. the armour isnīt very unique either it doesnīt give me the feeling of a new world if u know what i mean.. i hope too see more life drawings and sketches here bro!!! becuase itīs the only way to feed your brain with new ideas! however talk more bout that on msn
aviable for fulltime and freelance
and cool faces again!
Hi Gnoll!!!Great updates since my last visit!!!You are improving and improving.....when are you going to stop,dude???!!!!Hahahaaha
