It was a quick paint for a drawoff. Going to stick to one Drawoff next week a do a more finished piece.
The blood seems too bright, I like the red in the eye, work on it but it's sort of cool. Try to be more original also, massive black doesn't necessarily have to mean a screen filled with black and ambigous facial features of a monster dripping blood from his teeth. Remember, it's concept design.
Thanks for the comments will try something a bit more adventurious next time. The teeth are a accident i never painted any red on them i was doing a bit of colour correction and this what came up and i thought it looked kinda nice. But maybe not after second thoughts
Be sure to post it on here if you aren't angry at us good luck.
I don't know if you still want comments on this one, but what's bothering me is the fact that you've done a very smooth, detailed rendering of the face, then abruptly switched to a blurry rendering of the back half. This ends up creating a very flat effect, on a pose which has the potential for alot of depth. With quick drawings, I like to work the same level of detail all over the figure and add depth effects (lighting, added detail) when I have more time.
(I just joined five minutes ago so I don't have anything up yet... still have to figure it out...)
