Thank you guys for the crits and encouragement. I lost all my old 3D work and I didn't have any back up, so I lost the 3D dragon hunter. I finnished my friends model on time. It's 4000 tri so he can put it in to HL2, he really liked it so i'm happy.
I stay tuned to see the progress on this one !!
Keep going up !!
nicely done works!
Really nice work
I love the anime girl, the reptile, minotaur...Can't we see them finished?
your work on the 3D challenge is excellent
Cool stuff, makes me wanna try out some clay myself
The last model seem to have a really think neck compared to the rest of the body.
Pijay-Brown-I never finished them, shouldn't have left them aside for so long. Thats why I liked the 3D challenge because you had a dead line to hit.
Eradus-I think the head might be a bit big as well. Thanks
some face practice.
Hey Dex, great job on these two guys. Like you already indicated, the head on your "warrior" is
a little large, but I love the way he's coming along. Cool, relaxed pose and I like the way his clothes
are looking. In addition, your latest face study has a ton of character and great detailing so far.
Keep up the good work man.
"It seems like once people grow up, they have no idea what's cool." - Calvin, Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons
i love the warrior
and your study face is great, make me think of a Roman senator or a hobbit !
Keep going on
The improvement in the anatomy of your last full figure sculpture post is eminent. Looking forward to seeing more
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Thanks guys, here is a hand I made a few days ago, it's a little bigger than my own hand. also another face.
MAN that hand is cool fantastic!
are u gonna paint the hand?
also, how small is the head? it looks really small currently
the thumb looks a little big but the hand is nice
good to see that you are working on different subjects
I appreciate the fact that you posted the wires. I've been wanting to start sculpey models, but didn't want to waste a lot of money on stuff I didn't know to internally involve and manipulate. Your thread has been terrific to view and learn from.
The Other White Meat
Shivmoo- I am going to paint the hand, also I need the fix a crack that just showed up. The face is about the size of an egg.
pijay-brown-I agree the thumb is a bit to big
Manifestant- I'm glad my thread has been some help to you, and good luck on your sculpting.
I have been trying to do some female faces but I am having a very hard time getting them to look feminine, any advice would be great.
I have been making some arms, and here is the hand finished.
-Thanks for looking
Found some paper clay after seeing the shiflett bros using it. I found it fun to use, the man was 3 hours, the girl 2 hours, and the faces about an hour.
3/4 face, and two 2 hour figures.
great stuff man. i really like the figures and the hand you did. i like how some tooling marks were left/added back onto the surface. gave it a very nice feel.
- I think it's official... I am the world's slowest painter
Very Very nice sculpts. Im Likeing your style and your paintings are really neat. i have one question. how and where do you make your 3d models?

I Can Kick Your Ass At Halo
Your figures are looking seriously awesome! Are you going to leave those unfinished for now? Nice thread =)
Hey thanks every one, I have submitted some of the sculpting I have been doing as of late to a few of the local galleries, hoping I can get my work shown in the summer run. Here's hoping.
nOtoRiuZ PiG the program I use for 3D is SoftImage XSI
cateaic i'm going to try to finish all of them
i like the render of these new pieces made with paper clay
especially your women, poses are great, and sensual
Your new sculpey face is nice too, the big one painted in black
your skills getting better and better and your production of pieces too
