A tutor once said to me: "Let your mind go!" and it didnīt come back.

my Heavy Industrie, Military and Steampunk References/Textures (updated Oct 2012)
hour half work, good fun working without "undo's".
little under 2 hours
Joined here to improve. It's a very inspirational environment.
About 40 minutes' work.
Bonk has been sitting under the same bridge since infancy, now almost 9, Bonk is still under the bridge despite the fact that everyone knows about him and a new bridge has been built within Bonk's eyesight. Bonk isn't very smart.
painter, hour? dammit, getting fixated on brushes again
Welcome aboard Bill
Just a really quick sketch in Photoshop
Hamsta: Bonk has a lot of character to him. I'd say he's very cute, but then I'd just sound like a silly girl. I like the reflections in the water.
Xenos: I love the whole environment. I'd really like to see this with some more detail.
Machzero: No undos? Goodness gracious.
My humble website: http://www.reynoldsphobia.com
Like a small child who has just got their head stuck in some railings, Dennis the ogre found himself in a very embarrassing predicament, still completely baffled as to how he got there in the first place...
inks n shit
bout 40 minutes
You rock hard consistently - ur stuff is inspirational. Just had to comment and thank you for the euphoria-inducing post.
"WE ARE FINDING A NEW BRIDGE TOMORROW!!"
space is tight under a bridge.
Feedback would be appreciated. A lot! Really appreciated!

What if everything you think you know is just an elaborate dream?
Eriboss that looks wicked, really powerful image.
Hello everyone, I am a brand new recruit to the DSG. I love all of your work, it is so awesome and encouraging. Anyway, I just got my tablet yesterday, and have been trying to conform to it. Learning how to use it has been one of the most frustrating things I have ever done in my life. I still can't draw a straight line with it, and I feel like I'm back in 3rd grade because I can't color in the lines . Anyway, here is my first (failed) attempt at using a tablet. I look forward to my future in the DSG.
About 2 hours in Painter IX, help and comments VERY welcome.
I think I got it now. Sorry for the double post.

doyoobi wrangler I love the composition/concept of yours. The execution is rather poor. but if you spent more time on it, even with the same lineart...
Hamsta That's more like it. At last something well defined . And isn't Loaded Palette Knife cool?
Concept is fine. Colours too. I like the reflections in the water. And I like the shading on the head, while I'm not sure if everything's right with the light sources in the feet. Keep it up and play with all those brushes.
Those are kegs...PShop, 30 mins.
i should be texturing right now.
YAY! i just saw War Of The Worlds
Its not very logical and the aliens are quite stupid, but you have to expect those kind of things when they make a movie of old scifi books ..but it is fun movie and it has awesome special effects and most importantly lotz of ppl die!! hahaaa
Eriboss - hehee, i first tried to draw something like that i just couldnt pull it of, but jou make it look easy
doyoobi wrangler - hahaaa nice sketch
sorry, cannot add more detail in that one, i would have to learn to draw trees first
Machzero and Hamsta - you keep on drawing and drawing, every day! I envy you guys!
Hamsta, i like ure lighting and colors, but that things mouth isnt very clear
Shaky - that ogre doesnt look huge, it looks more like an green dwarf, hahaa.. welcome abroad
Inkfish - if i didnt know this topic i wouldnt know whats happening in there, it needs a background
Edit: sleepychic - thats sooo wrong hahahhaaa

Hi everyone! Been so busy lately I havent had the time to keep up with you all...This took @3hrs...Great work everyone!
ps/wacom took about 40 min. i would have coloured it but i keep getting a message error (just started today for no reason) when i try increasing my brush size and start painting. so, just left as a sketch.
A sort of self portrait: whist pondering concepts on the way home, my head made painful contact with a low beam.
Not overly happy with the piece... seems as if my skills lessen with practice.
VegasMike u are totally supreme. The ogre's distorted proportions look believable and natural. Your use of color is effective - it really creates a "fantasy feel". Much affection.
What if everything you think you know is just an elaborate dream?
It's amazing what a near-year without drawing can do to one's skills. Egads! Hopefully DSG will help me regain what I've lost.
30mins-ish in ArtRage.
Rachel "Sheepy" Donahue
doyoobi wrangler - lineart was done using a semi clogged 0.3mm technical pen and parker fountain pen. No "undo"'s. It'll look better once I recommision my 0.4mm after two hours of unuse.
xenos - thanks for the compliment! Gotta try every DSG if it's posted on time. Environment, fantasy, scifi, whatever... gotta to be flexible. Still damn shaky on anatomy though. heheh.
Hey this is the first time I've ever posted at all and I decided I'd make my first post todays daily sketch. There is some amazing stuff above me and I hope as I continue learning from experience and school that I'll be a worthy member of this board like the rest of you. but enough of introductions, on to the Troll!
This big guy is getting scolded by that silhouette on the bridge for looking up human females skirts as they cross the bridge.. what a naughty troll.
I only spent about 45 minutes to an hour on this so I bet if I put the extra thirty in there I could leave no question as to whateverything is.. and I really should have used a skeletal structure for the troll instead of just making his face and going from there.. ah well.. I'm sure you guys will spot more stuff.
edit: troll, ogre... what's the difference? both are awesome and will probably eat goats.

Photoshop + WacomGraphireI + Killing a few moths + DJ Icey = this:
VegasMike: I really enjoy very detailed and with tons of expression in the color.
Eriboss: If i could scan my images into this pc this is excatly the style i'd be sketching in. I really enjoy that little kid with the balloon. Too bad there weren't people inside the orges mouth.
Inkfish: That's just plain sweet.
Shaky: Holy awesome!! Those colors are stunning. And that orge's pants are like... so sweet that i gotta get me a pair.
sleepychic: AHAHAHHA!! Luvvv it even though i don't know [or want to know] the extacy of beer.
Samurai Paul: Looks like i copied you on the bridge, but it wasn't meant. I drew my image before viewing everyone elses. I really like that sun shining light on the whole image. Nice work!
Everyone else: If i had the time i'd comment on everyone elses. Sorry i cannot do. beblessed everyone, nice images here. i love them all!
oh and listen to more T R A N C E.

Thanks Mattgamer. I know my picture sucked today, but I can't wait until tomorrow. I am slowly getting used to my tablet. Everyones work above me was absolutely stunning, with tons of brilliant ideas.
Shaky: Yeah, the whole tablet technology takes some time to get used to. though eventually you'll find out that it takes almost the same amount of time to sketch in real life and scan it into the PC than us your tablet. though i've gotta say, for me right now, not having access to a scanner - i'm enjoying my Wacom more than ever before. i can take it to any PC with WinXP and Photoshop to sketch away. technology is sweet, sweet stuff and i'm glad i live in this time.
keep up the good work and play with Photoshop tons. once the program becomes your 3rd hand your set fo life. ;D
Xenos I usually look forward to dsgs nowadays, I just wish I could force myself to do more out of it.
I like the illustrative elements of your piece, and the blocky style you got there, the little man looks like he had his feet cut off, and his pose is a little awkward. The ogre reminds me of Blade's vampires, which throws me off a bit.
doyoobi wrangler Well, it looks very much like a quick sketch, and that you spent most of the time on the ogre. He has no mouth? Some of his anatomy is confusing, and those lines just throw it off even more, where one can be confused for another.
