adrianhaynes, thanks for the mega compliment, I always thought I was shocking and body and expressions, I must be improving.. ..
Fellah, sweeeeet!! thanks mate. I have to thank you for all the inspiration. the dark side??
incognito, heheh oi! thanks dude. Yeah glad you like the stuff. well, for some reason pencil is..such a difficult medium.. hmm maybe it's because my sketchbook is A5..tiny as.. and I use a blunt 2b pencil..
clogik~~ thanks man.. yeahh I am kinda satisfied with the teeth thanks to you and others. You should try drawing in PS, I love drawing in PS, it's a bit different to sketchbook. it's lot smoother and from time to time you can really feel the lines flowing.. but yeah..I suck at pencil though.. :< thought that would be the easierst and most versatile medium... guess not. yes SIR! more experiments with pencil.. yikes..
Onir, thanks man.. yeah.. we are slacking a bit with our threads, me and Tei.. Better start jumping back in.. !! yeah let's paint more fruits and veggies..
berf, hehe thanks dude
Hayabusa, thanks for the support dude.
Ok.. scribbling as usual.. I was flicking through the sketchbooks in CA, noticed how there are so many talented/skilled artists here.. I am so glad I joined up..Learning sooo much and full of inspiration.. ..
small update, inspiration from Tei's thread.. she's doing awsome expressions, I know mines all static but I thought I give it a shot. It's a small step..
damn that is some good stuffing. o_o'
You're foundation in anime comes through no matter what you draw. You obviously know that, but if you're still trying to erase that ace and draw completely realistically, you'll probably-most definitely, never succeed. Expanding your horizon is cool, but i think you should never let go of the cartoonlicious touch! I also want you to know that I LOVE YOUR WORK and I LOVE YOUR STYLE. The way you work textures is inhuman.
I dont like the crazy hair dude though. It looks forced. He's very tense, and doesnt have the same natural appeal as your other sketches.
Great stuff man... and those pen sketches are great.. Love the anime stuff but, the last few are stellar.. the chick with the lolipop in her mouth is genius.. great work min... No crits this time around..
Nice work Bumskee. I like your anime style images. They feel very natural and positive. Makes me want to draw some manga again. Also Vigostar, you mentioned some collaborative work. I think that would be a fun idea. I'm up for it everyone else is.
the demon dude is looking super-improved. Nicely done. I apologize if I made you crazy over some things...I hate when that happens to me, but it is good medicine..?
That last batch is so sick..so much expression and form with so little. Those are some of my favorite sketches I have seen from you.
If only you could draw me a hot naked chick with big boobs and a lollipop...then you would really achieve greatness!
hey Bumskee.. Heres the link for the thread that I started for our group...
Crazy Hair Rocks. I'm enjoying your sketchbook
last post is absolutely amazing.
are you looking for a padowon learner?
Holy shizak....now I see why your figure studies were so cool. These sketches rock, man. I love the expressions in the last group...there's so much charater in those drawings. The Demon guy is also rockin'...I will have to check this thread more often. Keep up the good work
tabris.17, thanks dude
2100, I don't really want to draw realistically, not my cup of tea, but for the sake of developing my style (?) I think it's important I understand it though. bah.. thanks for the kind words dude
vigostar, thanks for the constant support dude!
Infinitum, thanks dude..collaborative will be fun!
Teigrob, the friggen animal anatomy book is getting delivered at the end of August.. crap!!! I will just have to scrap more refs off google for now.. hehe.. expressions, one day.. I will be able to do them like you?
Pesmerga, thanks dude
madplanet, pen? I am just getting used to I think.. pencil..probably not, I get too messy with it.. .. ball point pen is pretty good at the moment and PS drawing.. hehe.. gotta practice more with pencil I guess.
adrianhaynes thanks dude.. I am a nOOOB..i love that word..
Perre, thanks man!
britt, sup man. thanks for the kind words, pleasure looking at your work too dude.
small update? just some scans off my tiny ass green A5 sketchbook, played with some markers in the morning today and I think I kinda ruined all of them. hehe, well practice more I guess.
This is a sketch me, Rodrigo and Form did on Monday night after our life drawing class at a lounge nearby. Really cool guys those two are, and Rodrigo just turned 18 by the way. awsome artists too. Rodrigo did the face and then went back and forth between us.
this is one of the life drawin sketch, 3mins and the only one I sort of like from the bunch of drawings except for the leg, sort of lost the form..
some scraps off my sketchbook, done on my train trips between work and home..
Wow man, your stuff is really kicking ass now. I just went from start to end in your book again and the improvement is very obvious. Keep it coming!
tons of improvement from the first page, the life drawing is helping you a lot. cool man, liking the devil guy too.
ju crazy, crazy guy you.. awesome works.... your getting so good at those little poses.. and your pen sketches are looking quite juicey... keep up the great work min...
great sketches...love the expression on the first.
It looks like you are focusing a little more on light and form in the head sketches too...cool
I agree with vigo - those little sketchies are great..always. I even love the way you lay them out on a page. If you're in NY I'm pulling one of those pages out of your sketchbook for myself. It would look so cool framed over my computer. Oh maybe over my drawing table...no no....just left to the mirror would be nice. Maybe I'll take 3 pages
nice sketches. i like the linework on 'ana_102.jpg'
good drawings and gestures all around.
there he goes again...Man ..I don't know what it is, but your drawing looks like it's about to jump to the next level..and I'm excited for you, and to see what you do next. You got some serious skills...I especially like the doodles you did on the train commute. - shit...I should go draw now (energy level is bottoms today)
Fellah. thanks man!! hehe
tokidokizenzen, really? it's good to hear I am improving but I don't feel so..damn..
cotron, heh thanks man, yeah life drawing is cool, wish I had the patience to attend more..
vigostar, yes sir! thanks Rob.
loomer, I was going to ask you! to send me your pages..so I can hang them on my wall.. yeah light and form..something I really need to work on.. thanks dude
chris ocampo, thanks man, yeah I like that one too.. might give another go and pen drawing at the next drawing session.

Form is the dude on the bottom right.
THe "orange pencil"
Rodrigo on the left and form on the right again.
Some random scribbling off my tiny ass A5 sketchbook again between train trips......
Wow your facial expressions sketches are Really great and your sketches of people doing there everyday life. Do you use paint studio to do all your sketches becuase i am interested in learning more about painter. Ifyou do can you give me some tips?
Kai's Sketch Book.
Great little faces <> like the dab of ochre on the one cheek <> small touch but very arresting
Loomer!! funny how your post ended up before mine? it's like you already saw my post before it went up! weird.. or is it just me? Anways! thanks dude..
Badger, thanks dude. err...busted!! yeah I need to practice hands, I am concentrating on head/neck mostly at the moment.. but yeah..hands..
xXMizu_NinjaXx, thanks man.. no I am on Photoshop. my expression suck if you want to see some real ones check out teigrob's thread. gold
Teigrob, it's good to hear I am improving... YAY~ thanks Tei
mentler, Sup! Thanks for dropping by...
Fellah, hehe.. tempting hey?? I know what you mean.. hehe.. you can still draw a bit can't you? just don't go overboard. am I demon guy? hehe Thanks Fellah..
"morning doodle" in PS...didn't sketch at all in PS this week so I thought I start my saturday morning with it.. Just some faces.. no ref and I thought I change the lighting and see if I can pull it off, going to concentrate this lighting for a bit..
oh not this one..
I like how the most recent ps painting you are working on gives a feel. The scarring(?) looks very creepy. I like how the light is coming from an interesting angle , though I think even if he had very dark b;ack hair you would see some light on it good work though
Wohooo! It's been happening tons of stuff in here. Love you thumbnail faces. And the way you play with lightning, really gave my some inspiration to play more with light.
And it look to me as if you sure as hll can work with markers
C'mon keep this show rolling!
