Hi, I just saw all the delirious stuff and i liked them, maybe I'll try to do some toenail eater (mmmmhh toenails :p)
what about a creature with small eyes a long face, no mouth, whose only purpose is eating and stop its eternal starvation???
the rest is up to you my creative minds
High Speed Transport
Guards of the Holy Gates
Lives in the Walls
Luck Bringer (Good or Bad)
Black Footed Eagle Eater
I was reading this on BushIsantichrist.com (haha!)
and it's a BIble verse from Revelations that describes a beast...an interpretation of this beast would be pretty cool...although it sounds like an awkward beast it might be cool...here we go:
Revelation 13:1-2 “And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns upon its horns, and a blasphemous name upon its heads. And the beast I saw was like a leopard, its feet were like a bear's, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. One of the heads of the beast seemed to have a mortal wound, but the mortal wound had been healed.”
here is what BushIsantichrist.com came up with hahah:

World War II creature
The fastest killer
One made of many
Small and havy
Yellow all size creature killer
Havy armed Bug
Fur, Scales, Skin and bones
Psycho best friend
Peace bringing murder
The most iritating thing
Child of heven and hell
As a child I loved drawing Woipertingers - maybe that was my first step into creature design Thought that would be a funny idea for the COW, too.
Woipertingers are some kind of mixed up forest animals such as rabbit, weasel, bambi, fish etc...
Here are some examples, but I guess you guys are a lot more creative on that!
Organic Mechanic = Draw an organic creature that was altered with robotic parts. I think that breaks the rules but jsut an idea i had while working on my idea for the Cow - Deep contest thing
"Its all fun and games till the bomb goes off. Then its a blast!" Kyle thinking of things the Joker would say in batman. My Sketch Book
I love your suggestion Shidrow. And I have a very similar Idea.
Tecnorganic and Prehistoric
Tecnorganic Prey and Predator
Tecnorganic Space Swarm-Traveler.
Tecnorganic Red Abomination.
Tecnorganic Stealth Stinger
Tecnorganic Frenzy Slasher
I Cant Beleve That This Creature Is Tecnorganic!
Unruly and Tecnorganic
Light as a Feather
Creature of Golden Light
Parasite and "Domesticated" Host (Parasites breed the hosts for use)
Lingering Specie (A specie that can barely survive its habitat but is still alive)
Lives in a Bubble
Pox Riddled Jubulant
Hey Guys ^^
what about "The Cloverfield moster" ?
seven hearted creature..
big whale carrying another species egs (mhmhm..create your own eggs ...not the usual ones)
65 million years later: the continued evolution of dinosaurs
Bullet with butterfly wings
Living appliance (replaces something you have in your kitchen, like on the Flintstones)
Living limb (replaces the arm, leg, hand or foot of a human, like a prosthetic)
Swiss Army animal (flies, swims, climbs, runs, burrows)
A new sound file concept!
Hey all! Been a member for over a year now but this is my first post. I have yet to participate in a COW, some I wasnt interested in some I was but lack of time have always kept me at bay (I hand draw everything)....my goal is to participate in at least one before the end of 2008.
Anyways heres a few suggestions:
something that swims through sand as a shark or eel would through water.
-Made the dinosaurs extinct
kinda self explanitory, the reason for the extinction of the dinosaurs
something that kills its prey after mating (much like the black widow)
-Treetop canopy predator
There is a huge amount of life that spend their entire existence high up in the treetop canopy of the rainforest, what would hunt them and what special adaptations keep them from falling.
this could be a gross one, think "leeches"
this one was already suggested by infinitemonkey but its a good enough idea that it deserves repeating: If dinos never died out what would they look like today?
-Blind cavern dweller
predator or prey that spends its existence in a world that has never seen daylight, how does it see what special adaptations does it have.
a single creature that is formed from millions of creatures that are connected by a single mind (picture bees forming a giant bee os something along those lines).
Again kinda self explanatory: a creature that has become one with its enviroment to the point that it has taken on the very characteristics of the world around it.
This one might be too specific but I know I'd love to see everyones interpretation of what some sort of artic dwelling simian looked like, something that evolved along side polar bears and penguins.
Thats it for now, Ive got alot of other ideas but I should get back to work. Just wanted to chime in and to finally post something here.

How about a creature that uses an alternate form of cellular respiration instead of lungs or gills. The entire design and concept could be completely based around this evolutionary difference in the creature. Just a thought.
Master Race- not humanoid but is the race that acts like humans do here.
Four Sexes- draw four genders of a new specie and all these genders are needed to make a baby
The Queen and Her Workers- like bees have the Queen and then draw the workers.
Too big to exist.
Hermit/Nomad (carries home with it)
Scene/Music Genre Creature
Last edited by kurios; July 24th, 2008 at 03:28 AM. Reason: added to it
-Predator that assaults in dreams
-multi dimensional traveler
-symbiotic flying creature
-one eye tentacles and teeth (as the only requirements)
-survives on dwells in flame
-cute but deadly
-creatures that are adapted to live in new urban environment...product of environmental change
-bio chemical defense
-the large dominated/controlled by the small
-tree dwelling fish
-new Iconic movie monster..classic advesary
-eater of souls
-multi limbed...must have 6 or more
-lives in colony...conjoined...mutated ...dependant on other creatures for it's survival...
-hunts with projectiles
-new forms of camoflauge
Beast Of Time
a picture of a footprint where we have to design the creature that did it
"Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it" -- Confucius
"Imagination is more important than knowledge" -- Albert Einstein
It lives in elevator tunnels and holes.
It can warp at will
Heart stopping scariness
It never stops staring at you.
It sleeps for hundreds of years.
Stays low to the ground.
I'd rather leave this blank
Pay a visit to My little sketchbook!
On the Pirate's shoulder- like parrots or Jack the monnkey in Pirates of the Caribbean
Tsunami Stopper- instead of causing destruction it prevents it (WHOA!)
- Limb-replacer organism
Clearly an idea based on the tongue-replacer isopod, this creature will take over the limb of a larger being and eventually replace it. Benevolence is not a must.
- Floating herbivore
Something gentle and large that lives its life airborn. I picture a blimp-like elephant.
- Eye-shedder / Eye-shedder mimic
Creature that, for whatever reason, can lose its eyes. And/or a creature that mimics this, as a form of defence or as a way of catching prey (or both)
- Skin-replacer parasite
More inspired by swarms than the tongue-replacer, a parasite that comes in such large numbers as to eventually cover the host completely. Benevolence optional.
- Leviathan benevolent parasite
Inspired by the concept designs of the creature from The Host film, something that lives on large aquatic beasts without damaging them
- Herbivore arachnid
Not enough spiders or scorpions! This would probably be a funny one.
- Mountain builder
There's the hill stomper, so why not a species that creates mountains?
- Living key
Living creatures that serves as a key, manufactured/modified/mutilated to be so or with the door based on the animal (for latter it therefore requires unique "key" parts). Probably kept near the door, animal's defence methods help to keep it safe.
- Mud bubbler
What lurks in the swamp?
- Dire weasel
I haven't seen any weasel-based creatures, despite that these muscley carnivores tend to take down larger beasts with surprising accuracy, and frequently have distinctive hunting techniques (e.g. one small weasel is specialised in breaking the necks of its prey). So; a D&D worthy weasel.
- Camouflaging dungeon skitter
I was thinking something with adaptable skin or habits, specialised for living in a dungeon despite the dangers.
- Trap door cougar
Trap-making feline OR arachnid with similarities to cats.
- Big ears / Noddy
Just wondering what the COW artists could come up with to fulfil these names. One or the other, keep in mind that "ears" can refer to ear-like features rather than actual ears (e.g. long-eared owl)
- Long beaked vampire
Vampiric bird or reptile.
- Shrew-faced giant
Shrews are the world's smallest mammal, also the world's smallest mammal carnivore, and eat a LOT. Some large beastie with a head that resembles a shrew's.
- Squalking gravedigger
Anything fitting the name.
- Tundra Manticore
Feline appearance, feline or humanoid face likely (it's meant to be a relative of the classic manticore). Dangerous tail (commonly scorpion these days, originally a tail ending in a ball of spikes; anything goes, make it modified for arctic travellers if you like). Wings optional.
- Ceiling abomination
Creature that lives on the ceilings of tunnels, dungeons, possibly old churches and more in tact ruins, space stations accepted. It lives on ceilings. It's dangerous. It's not pretty.
- Easter bunny
Okay, seasonal idea. Coming from the legend that hares could not only change their gender (and had close connections to magic, especially lunar-based) but also laid eggs. So something that lays eggs and has long ear-like features.
EDIT: Didn't realise this was such a long list! Hope something in it's good.

Army of ... - Creatures inspired by reptiles monkeys and wolfs but no tails[or short] and evry unit of them have difrent purpose in the army [light/havy armed, assassins, comandos etc.]
Undead from inside of the dragon
Master of adaptation
Small creature which can rule the world
