Been a while since my last visit!
Really good figures, man! Keep working on those, you've chosen some really great poses to learn from. Anatomy and life drawing will take you a long way!
You seem to dabble in painting! The forest piece looks great. Can't wait to see the next update on it!
And as for your animals, they look just as real as ever!
Good work, Dan!
Hey Dan! Just dropped by to return the browse. AWESOME stuff man... I've really gotta get cracking on my Loomis studies too... just do... beh.. X_X
What books are you refferencing from, If I may ask...(?)
KEEP IT UP! :3
floydshayvious: Hey man thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. What books do I reference from? Figure Drawing for All It's Worth by Andrew Loomis, The Art of Animal Drawing by Ken Hultgren, Drawing Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery by Burne Hogarth... I could sit here all day naming books
It seems like I'm running out of poses for hands!
I love your Loomis studies man.. O_o
I'll need to start cranking some out...
i really love ur hand studies man O_o
looks like improvement
keep it up now go draw !
Man, there's some sweet shit happenin' here. You seem to use your drawing time very wisely. Hopefully I can pick up on some of that. Keep it up, you're going places.
-j-:Thanks, I appreciate your comment. I haven't seen you around these forums before, go start a sketchbook
I will consistently produce...crap! No matter what! Sorry, I have to laugh at myself sometimes...here is the crap I speak of
Awesome figure, hand, and gun studies! Those seem to be paying off for ya.
Keep it up and start tryin' to do some finished work (doesn't have to be completely finished, but start doing exercises with composition). Keep it up.
Shylone_Breath:Thanks. Sometimes I wish I felt that good myself about my drawing skills!
Odds:Yeah, maybe I should do a finished piece, I haven't done one in ages, thanks for the suggestion.
Anyways, here is a boring foreshortening study from the loomis book, some of them are from life though. It's crappy looking but I guess the fact that I'm learning is what"s important.
Hola, You've improved greatly sence the start of this thread. Nice to see that u got a proper sketchbook =P. Love the studies! keep it up!
Shylone_Breath: Thanks for the comment, as always.
Icey:Yeah, the girl is a study from the loomis book so, yeah And to answer your question I'm 15, I'll be 16 in a month.
Abra:I appreciate the comment, thanks.
Here are some cruddy figure studies from photos and some hands, I was a little nervous drawing naked people in my living room, so they are kinda rushed, I guess.
Thanks alot good sir for your kind words but I think rembrant-esque is stretch although I luv ya for even saying it. I think it's more like chicken stratch-esque to be honest.
Also I looked over your work and really enjoyed a number of drawings you had posted especially the cat with the stretched out neck. I look forward to seeing your progress I'll keep posting and I hope you do as well.
It takes a whole lot of dedication to draw that many hands... really awesome study there!
Thought your crabs were adorable!
Liked the figure drawings, still some anatomy and proportion issues there, but the last few figures looked very very good!
Kepe it up, man!
you're improving so freaking fast, it's a shame when i look at my sketchbook. insane keep on working with loomis, your figure and hand studies are classy
you got scorpion-skills going!
