UPDATED DEC 09 2007 since APRIL '06... I am almost ashamed to keep these INCREDIBLY OLD postings up, but I think it will be effective in displaying progress. Please continue to the end of this book to view my recent work and critique me, by all means. I need some serious motivation from you all.
Ey, Thought it was about time for me to post my sketches for some input from everyone. If I suck let, me know why, If I have potential, let me know why, If you want to kick my ass, I'll give you my home address.
I really need to improve in many aspects, so if you could PLEASE give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Lately I've been trying to be faster and looser with my sketches, I used to take them too seriously. I really need to do a life drawing every day, and definitely work on anatomy. So please enjoy anyway. Thanks
Heres a quick creature sketch thingy
some joyous randomness
A pen sketch with these bad ass pens I found
Another, same pens, different life
One more pen sketch...r u bored?
I'll have more soon....If I survive

Actually dude I think your anatomy is great, its just your proportions really. You would really benefit by doing mannequins of the people your drawing before drawing them (if you dont already do them) and making sure everythigns all proportionate then. Really the biggest problem you have is that your heads are too big for the bodies, the hand and eye studies are quite good though, nice stuff.
Your proportions and anatomy certainly need work, but you already know that. So go do it!
Draw from life. Draw a lot. Keep drawing until your hands bleed. There isn't a quick-fix way to get better. Of course, don't stop drawing things that randomly pop in your head just because you need to improve (hell, everyone can stand some improvement). That's the kind of thing that makes drawing fun, you know? Being a of a professional level is no good if you don't get any satisfation from what you do.
Just keep it up, fella.
EDIT: I hope this isn't too harsh. You have a lot of nice things going on, but you said you were posting here for feedback, so here it is.
Frog - Thank you for your comments, i do tend to make heads a little "swollen", but nothing I can't work out. I also have a problem with proportionate hands and feet. I will concetrate on that. Thanks for the help.
Ryn-you made me cry that was so harsh, just kidding. I really appreciate the honest feedback, thanks for takin the time out to post it. I do also like compliments every once in awhile, but compliments dont make me motivated to work harder to get better. Peace
great to see you posting again
keep it up !
Good to hear from you Sideshow, hopefully thanks to coffee, cigarettes and metamucil, I can be regular and often with my posts now,

Your work shows you have a pretty good handle on light and value. How about some colored works for us. I'd like to see what you're capable of.

I need some ideas or techniques to apply in photoshop. I'm having some trouble pin pointing what I feel I should be looking for in this program, I'm pretty overwhelmed actually. any tips would be appreciated

A study of the skull UNFINISHED
Some beautiful work here! very much enjoyed the hands, eyes and demented teddy bears in the forest.
Very nice rendering skills.
"Sketchbook Disaster"? Wow, I feel lied to.
Your shading technique is very strong, especially your man-chest of doom. You seem to have a handle on your light sources well enough, since you are ranging from a subtle and even light source on your squid fetus to the dramtic light on your hoodie dude. And for the record, I really, really like the gestures on your hand studies. Very solid stuff!
I suppose I could only crit your anatomy, but the magical "Loomis" word has already been spoken, so the next step is to read up and practice!
Glikster - thanx for the words, I will be posting as much as possible
durin - Thanx to you as well
Deselect - The bears live in your attic
Steph - Thanx alot, i know I really need to get my ass on the ball, and kick out the anatomy jams. The more I see my work, the more I realize it. Youve reinforced my suspicions
Second Post of this WIP on Photoshop. Let me know what I should do to it to improve it.
Quick painting on Photoshop, just fuckin around
An experiment of many sorts on photoshop WIP
i love the octopus image. I can see a tramendous amount of growth on this page. I think you've got a strong beginning for the tattoo, just remember to consider it will have to go on skin, and its hard for tattoos to maintain the level of detail sketches have.
keep it up
Killer work here!
Genuine trailer trash scribblin's here
You got some nice things going on, the major thing that is holding you back is your anatomy...so keep those studies up. When you go into your illustrations/invented work think about light logic, the planes of the face ect...it seems like you understand that stuff in your studies, you just have to carry what you have been learning into your personal work.
thank you very much, I have been trying to get myself to do more anatomy studies, i just get lazy, but thats my fault.
Hello everyone, I haven't posted in a REALLY long time. Art is still my passsion in life, but I have no motivation, because I don't have people around me that feel the same as I do about this. I would love your comments and suggestions on my recent works. I will keep posting as they come and hopefully I can gain some inspirado from all of you amazing artists again.
Ball point pen piece
Leg/phallic I think.
just havin fun with massive nipples
moleskin coffee shop fun
A request from a friend, my best motivation.
another request...very specific
Just be honest....
Hey man,you are like me,there is no one around me who feels like me.So sometimes i feel like shit.but this is not a big problem that blocks your drawing.
I think you have to read marko's bio on wiki.
"Art is still my passion in life" what does it mean?why you draw? Maybe to design characters, enviros, concepts, etc.so i think first you should choose your journey in the art.then study the necessary topics.and don't forget to make a balance between drawing for study and drawing from imagination.
I love your massive nipples work, keep posting regularly(not yearly)
Need your critique
