the more i get into photography the more i want to learn about it. does anyone know any REALLY good photography books either "how tos" or just really great photographer books that i can start to get. this is actually for a gift, but ive also been wanting to figure what kind of books are influencial and inspiring photogpraphy wise.
Um, just a really great photographer is Ansel Adams. His work is amazing... Its the kind of stuff you look at and its just astounding... Though, I think most ppl know of him... not sure tho... Anyways, he is absolutely amazing.
mollyduker - thanks and yes ansel adams is a master of that medium. i guess to narrow down what kind of book im looking for is photography techniques, and also sorta books that help the reader to find personal direction in photography. anyways thanks for the input. ansel adams is a bad ass photographer!! hands down!!
i got interested in macrophotography awhile back. if you (or the person you're buying this for) wanted to explore that avenue at all, i'd recommend these books (they have quite of bit of good general photography advice as well):
Macrophotography: Learning from a Master by Ronan Loaec
The Complete Guide to Close Up & Macro Photography by Paul Harcourt Davies
