topic: non-horned creature that lives in a freezing cold environment with a nice amount of oxygen
time: 2 hours
(entries coming in 2 hours ^-^ i just wanted to make the thread now so i dont forget the topic ^-^)
that topic is right from my mouth! .. welll my keyboard n e way. gl guys
I voted for some_guy, and here's why:
While I don't think some_guy has the better drawing (I think it's clear that just on a technical merit, fox has more developed skill), I think that some_guy pushed himself much more with this than fox did and in the end achieved a picture more representing the challenge in question.
You know I love you and your besties, fox, but you really gotta push yourself and break out of your mold with these. Where is the indication that this creature lives in an arctic environment? And c'mon...those are tenticles, not horns? Um...if you say so, bro. (and why is his face on backwards? haha, actually, that's pretty funny)
some_guy, I dig the polar bear origins and the pieced together clothes you got going there. As a primitive I might like to see that weapon as more heavily bone influenced. I'm not sure if it was a concious decision to make it a b/w piece, but I think that really worked for the snow subject. The whole thing lacks a lot of detail, but it's on the right track.
Anyways, still cool to see these challenges flowin' and goin'.

Thanks fukifino for the comments. I see what you're saying about the bone weapon, I agree it would've been a cool idea and it crossed my mind. But I was dealing with enough new things for me(furry creatures, mountains, snow) that for a 2 hr pic, I didnt want to push that and mess it up. Made it in black and white because I am not too comfortable with color yet either. Glad you think it worked out. I know what you saying about the detail, I'm not sure with a lot more time spent if I could've made this better or not, maybe I pick it up again soon and find out.
