Jeez, this is really awesome. Care to tell us how you got some of those lines so clean? I have a feeling that you may have made this in halves, and dulplicated/flipped the one half to make the whole form. Otherwise, if you just eyeballed the symmetry I swear to god I'm done with art. Either way, even if you did do one half, then flip it, the light sourcing makes it look sold, as though it is an engineered, machined form.
In terms of your concept, I have to agree with everyone else that the 'awaken' principle makes the machine seem as though it's rattling back to life after a long dormancy. which would allow one to infer that it's been sitting ever since the war/battle for which it was made. Again though, it should look battle scarred, rusty, with oil stains, and whatnot. The only part of the rendering that stands out to me is the smoke/exhaust blowing out of the machine. The cloud looks a little bit...flat? That's the only part of the rendering that's not quite right. The rest though is flawlessly modelled, in my opinion.
how long did it take you? It the fire on left looks like an attemped to break up the comp but it still is lacks the basics too good comp as far as were my eye traveled. It's got incredible detail in line but you sacrificed all gesture making it boring. just how it struck me. and btw I could never get my art too look that percies so I have to pick on you.
