I believe it was page 2 that had very academic art. Stuff like pelvis studies, and drapery and etc..
But I'm just saying that to say: I see where your at man. Reminds me of another artist I saw, whose art on the surface didn't look "appealing" or that they showed any real skill, but I've learned to see behind that.
I think your really good. Now I guess the only question is: what makes you attack this kind of psychology in your art, that reflects the child-likeness of an artist?

poetry man: It came from my iPhone paintings, where I had a desire to paint but the medium was so crude (a fat finger and a tiny surface and no pressure sensitivity and no experience with digital painting) that I felt i had no choice but to paint simply and economically. Portraits also seemed to come naturally with the vertical orientation of the phone and cramped space. Sure, you can draw a figure on an iPhone and I've done it but it's a lot of zooming in and out.
The childlike/naive quality (a 'look' that i've always hated before haha) just kinda came out on its own. It's fun to work on something fast and loose after spending 30 hours on a drawing. I like the feel and look of colored pencil on the paper that i use (yupo/polypropylene) and usually I make some random marks/abstract shapes first and then add eyes and/or limbs to turn it into something.
As for the psychology... well. If you haven't noticed I like to paint sad things.
man, really lovely, it such a gentle approach but amazingly striking... inspirational, please keep on doing that and thank you
Bapsi! Thanks! Graduated yet?
Devin! I'm actually using my tablet these days! Omg! Definitely all this drawing and photoshop stuff is influencing how I am thinking about image making. Taking a break from oils for a bit and it will be interesting when I get back into things methinks.
WOW few last posts are really AMAZING. I love how your work is getting more awesome.
