Hi all, im currently starting a project with Chavant and coming from a superSculpey background I have some pretty obviouse questions!!
1. When you rough out the form, rake it, and tool it to your likeing, how do you smooth it out, so far the best results is just using my fingers and it gets pretty darn smooth( im using CM-50 I believe and its pretty hard so I can really put some pressure on it without messing up the form), but you cant get your fingers in those hard to reach areas that need smoothing too. So do people use sponges, water with tools, etc....
2. If you are making a human figure, say 12-17 inches tall, how in the heck do you mold it ( I know this is probobly a 10 page answer but just the basics will do so like do you just shim it up and brush on the silicon, I cant imaging pour molding it without messing the sculpt up when building the seam lines on it.
really just basic stuff like this is what im not used too since you can cook sculpey and smooth it with alcohol and turpinoid, so on and so on.
Thanks for any help!!
