Hi, my name is Miguel and I'm from portugal.
I started to draw more seriously and sketching a lot about 1 year ago because I want to be a tattoo artist.
I will post here a few sketchs that i selected from this last year and then i will try to post regulary the things I'm doing in my new sketchbook.
I would like some critics and opinions on my work.
Hey Miguel. Good to see you starting a SB. I have spoken to a lot of tattoo artists and the way they tell you how to get an apprenticeship is to study art like any other artist. They don't like seeing tattoo designs, they get loads of them every day from people wanting to pick up the machines. Work on your fundamentals, make plenty of pieces and turn it into a portfolio and you will impress a tatt artist enough to take you on. Good luck!
I'm a peacock, you gotta let me fly!
Keep on the good stuff, somewhat awkward color schemes but very inventive! The best of luck Achieving your goal!
See my latest Sketchbook work!
Feel Free to comment!
Fantastic start so far!
But yep, I'd also suggest fundamentals all the way to become the best artist you can be
Keep it up, keep it up!!
I'll be here with the Daggers for the rest of my art journey.
Keep pushing people, let us be great together-!
thx V3T. yeah, that's true, I'm already a aprentice of a tattoo artist, i asked in a lot of places and it was hard, but drawing a lot everyday and showing my sketchbooks to the artists helped me to become aprentice. I'm starting reading loomis and bridgmans books to improve, tha's the kind of stuff people here call fundamentals right?
thx smrrfette. I'm starting to read and practise drawing books , for me it's a bit hard but i can see that's teatching me a lot.
thx Deceptive , i know my colours are a bit awkward, that's probably because I'm inspired by tattoo artists that do things with that kind of colours.
