Hello. I am an 18 year old high school student from Toronto ON, and next year I plan on attending Sheridan college's Art Fundamentals program, or perhaps the Animation Portfolio Workshop here in Toronto, in hopes of one day getting into Sheridan's renowned Animation program. I recently took up art classes and will soon start life drawing. Here is some recent work from my sketchbook as well as a painting (first in 4 years, so I'm decently content with how it turned out). Suggestions about what direction I should go next and what kind of exercises I should do in order to improve are encouraged. Any constructive criticism and guidance is welcome, I am nowhere near where I want to be and any insight from artists much more experienced than I am will be incredibly appreciated.
Attempt at drawing a hand not by contours, but by building a skeleton first. Rather difficult. Character underneath was for fun and to take the stress off after a failed attempt to draw a hand.
