Hey everyone, I have a problem with this landscape I painted a second ago. I'm very much out of my comfort zone here and this is the first time I've really attempted to do one like this. I feel like the values are all off and my composition is terrible. Advice is very very appreciated!
It's supposed to be some kind of back road, alley.. thing and the sun is supposed to be going down. There wasn't much though put into the idea, I just knew I wanted to paint some kind of alley. I feel like I have no idea what I'm talking about.
I checked it with a perspective grid and fixed some things. Thanks for your reply I'm still bothered by this though and I'd like more opinions
what's been changed: perspective to a degee that I'm aware of, window reflection on left building (not sure if it makes sense), small amount of depth added to the "tall" building and a few other minor things. idk im assuming the whole thing just needs to be changed
Make some thumpnails in color after looking at some afternoon scenes. Light usually becomes intensive and focusing, shadows become intensive and sharp. Also check the camera height. I'd lower into a more human-like size to have it seem more realistic.
