My name is Alexander Dochkin, and I'm really interesting in creating concept artworks.
I'd like to start this sketchbook to record my improvements and really push myself to studying of basics, anatomy, color, light etc. I'd like to practice working more with not digital tools as well, because have serious problems using pencils, markers etc.
So, let's start with couple of oldies studies, that I did referencing from movies and photos. Each was about 30-45 minutes.
Will try to come up with some new stuff as soon as I can!
Any critique and comments are very appreciated!
P.S. Feel free to check out my blog, too!

nice studies alexander,I would reccomend doing in tandem with color studies some value studies(especially from life).
also before studying anatomy practice construction and manikins.
keep posting and push yourself!
Really nice paintings! For figure studies, I would recommend trying a bunch of different poses rather than drawing the same thing over and over again. Repeating the same drawing improves muscle memory, but drawing the same object in a different way, or different perspective will help you understand the form of it in 3d space.
Hey Alex! I'm Alex, too I like your sketchbook a lot so far, mate. The color study of the bird is especially interesting and the figure studies are quite nice as well.
i like ur work...it seem that u have been trying to experiment with the concepts.....as far as sketching is concerned try to improvise ur strokes and rythms....will love to see more of ur works in future!
I'm really digging your studies, man. Your sketchbook is one to look out for. Keep it going!

I think you have a good eye for composition. Definitely you should practice more though.

And another one sketch before bad, was playing with values, little bit of colors and more illustrative style. Hope you like it!
Any comments and critiques will be very appreciated as always!
Really like the grittiness of this last one. And great job on post 16, very nice atmosphere in that one, also looks like you thought more on where to lay down your brustrokes. Keep it up.
hey androno, that last update is quite graphically cool,
maybe combine some structural elements in it as well.
