My name is Artjom aka. JiR, from Russia. I am 23 years old and currently living in Münster- Germany.
I joined CA two years ago and want to show some new sketches and even some fine arts before I get to rusty and halfhearted with art.
This will be my second sketchthread
First Sketchbook)from now on because in effort to become a better artist.
I decided I must seriously improve my drawing and digital painting skills, since I forgot a lot during my Media-Design apprenticeship.
Randomly drawing doesn't really help improving though, so I read tutorials and "How to"s, but I guess practicing is the only way to go.
From now on I practice a lot Anatomy especially skulls, skeletons and the body part muscles.
I planning to master the female anatomy after that male and maybe some creature. I'm mostly painting digital with my wacom
(fantasy, sci-fi, games, conceptart,faces... a lot of faces I'd also like to learn technical conceptart like weapons), but my
main focus is to improve anatomy and the female figure as soon as possible.

Some old and new sketches
I draw and paint if i got some time left... but most of them are just warming up practices and doodles
I love the style of aditya777 ;D
Now! Watch the porportions more carefully, they are often off, especially the human faces. Keep it up!
You've got a lot of great studies here. Like pixel cheetah said: work on proporions, and also try to work on the values in your color pieces. The contrasts are a bit noisy, and not directing the viewers attention to what is important.
Keep up the good work!
Are you studying in a class? Looks very awesome. Keep it up!
@ pixel cheetah
sure I will start over with some basic-shape practice
I think I will start with black/white peaces first to get my value right
No I dont study in class, it would be great (maybe) but I'm studying by myself.
Some new doodles and a couple of studies
I love Armour-peaces and every tine bit of the metalwork ;D
Oh and I know I shouldn't show such a bad speed painting try of Bobby McFarrin but I need someting to start with... just love his crowdmusic
studing why lips and lips and so on
Those are pretty good. You've done a good job on constructing the lip. The guy in the second to last picture is a good start, but try and redo the teeth. The all black lines around them give a very strong contrast and make them the focus of the image, and it looks flat because of it.
Great work all around
Lots of studies here,I like them, especially the skeletal ones! Also,I find the red tree fascinating for some reason!
The armor in your last post is a great leap shading-wise,keep it up!

A lot of mass effect wip's and warming up's
I used to play a lot Mass Effect ;D
some old studys and my new wip (mordin solus) master-study of madspike ;3
really interesting start! keep studying and sketching!
Lovely stuff so far, it's nice to see you study so much of the body structure, it will definitely help!
Be careful about your facial features though, you sometimes tend to make the nose a bit long.
Also give flipping your images/portraits horizonally a try, it helps a lot to see your errors while painting.
Keep it up
Hey Jir, lovely studies. Keep doing them. I'd focus on the building blocks and the big masses of the body right now instead of focusing on more detailed anatomy. And well, gestures gestures gestures...
And try to put down things in less lines. What you did in your last post is basically putting down the same line a dozen times on a slightly different place. Which doesn't really help if the line is wrong in the first place and is nothing more than a poor attempt to hide the mistakes you make
cool stuff keep going block in some things like hands etc and keep studying everything you lack keep it up!

1. having fun with PS
2. right scale and proportion
3. think 3D
Scale and proportions are sometimes wrong, and painted without thinking ..what a pain...
good start with some problems at the end
