I'm Adrienne, 25 years old. Living in Germany due to having an US Army Husband. Been here for over 1.5years, and I don't work so I need a nice hobby!
I have ALWAYS been into ANY kind of art for as long as I can remember. I remember a scribble I did as a child and my dad was like "That's nice" or something, and I think even though he was probably doing the parent thing... It encouraged me. -- Three sentences in, and I am already rambling.
Anyway, I have taken TONs of art classes throughout my life, I even took an architecture class once. But at the time, during college, I was astray... I was going for my Math degree. Yeah, math. I could do it, but I began to hate it. I hated everything about college. I met my husband, dropped out of college, got married and moved to South Korea. Ha.
So I just started drawing again over the last two weeks. It's literally been years since. And it's definitely true what they say "if you don't use it, you lose it!". Fuck, right?? Ugh.
But I refuse to say I am a beginner, because I am not. However, I feel like my skills have depleted! Which they have.
Yesterday, I bought myself a Wacom Bamboo Create tablet, and I wanted to cry and break when I tried it out because I had no idea what the fuck I was doing. I think that was mostly due to the fact I was hungry and I didn't realize it. Ha. A few hours later, I tried it again, with a basic sphere drawing, and it turned out... Okay. lol.
Anyway, so there you have my rambling. I am pretty intimidated by this site, but I am seeing so many amazing things and gaining so much inspiration.
Nice to meet you! I'm new here too! I'm Andy. I am a complete noob. I am a former Marine so I don't have too many "Career" skills! I look forward to seeing your works! The more you draw with the bamboo the more you get used to it!
I am but the fact i cannot start new threads unless moderated, and i typed mine up about a week ago, really frustrates me
