long-time lurker here. My name is Paweł, I'm 28 (yeah...) and I come from Poland. I decided to start a sketchbook because I really want to improve my skillset but I lack discipline to draw regularly (mostly I just doodle). I'll therefore try to update this thread at least once a week with something "meaty" - studies, sketches etc. I don't have a steady access to an image scanner so we'll see how it turns out.
My medium of choice is pencil - I'm in love with shading.
I would really appreciate some honest and constructive critique - I'll also be grateful for pointing out the good stuff (there must be something I do right, right? )
I'm "self-tought" - never had the guts to try any formal courses. I do try to learn form various books on the subject.
Let's begin then - some old stuff to break the ice. Some of those are not scans but cell phone pictures, for which I apologise:
I really like your shading work! Especially on the muscular guy. I'm certainly no expert (I'm just starting out and learning from scratch - self taught as well) but I think the left knee on the nude female is a bit pointy. I'd love to give you some further feedback but I don't quite feel I'm at the point in my journey to be doing that (i.e. not qualified enough)! Can't wait to see what else you post!
i honestly don't have crits or anything, but you seem like you can already draw. Post up Esskhal!
Thank you for your appreciation of my shading - I'm really glad you like it Yes, the knee is definitely too pointy - my anatomy knowledge is still full of holes like that
@Yemi775: Thank you for kind words I do really like you works
It's great to see you hear Esskhal. I love your shading method!
Please show us more of your works
