I've always been able to sort of draw when I was younger. It wasn't until I picked up a comic book called "Fables" did I really start getting into Art. The cover artist, James Jean, single-handedly inspired me to become an artist. I wanted to become as technically experienced in Art (painting, drawing, anatomy, etc.) as I could. When I discovered conceptart.org, I grasped the fundamentals, and have since tried to master them.
I knew I was going nowhere, however. I was trying to climb a mountain all by myself! So I decided when school finished for me, I'd spend the entire Summer simply drawing, and uploading them to this website, where other people could help me improve.
AND HERE WE ARE! I'm grateful you read this!
Wish me luck on this thing! xD
Some male anatomy studies with practices from my head. You can probably guess which ones I made up... Oh, and my pencilling isn't too wonderful yet.
Some hand studies. The linework is really sloppy, alongside the two attempts at shading. I usually do better, but today was a bit exhausting... I was too busy... wasting time... Gotta stop doing that. =.=
And I did a digital painting of a hand, and another digi-painting of a B&W man-face, but Photoshop crashed. I salvaged a screenshot of what it look liked before PS went to shit. ><;
Oh! In my last post, I said that I only practiced male anatomy, but I totally uploaded some females and head studies as well. Derp. xS
Bluuuh okay so it's been really slow artistic wise the past few days for various reasons. I'm definitely going to make tomorrow better, though. Anyways, I did two digital paintings today, except the first one crashed again, and I didn't manage to salvage a printscreen like the last one. I learnt I can't crop pictures in photoshop without it actually crashing. Lesson learned. :|
Anyways, I did some head studies and a B&W guy study. The head studies are terrible; I need to practice WAAAY more.
Hey, DennisH! Thanks for visiting and replying! DD
Uhh, honestly, I have no idea. I think the longest I've spent doing one single figure was perhaps fifteen minutes? Usually it shouldn't take me longer than ten minutes to finish a single one.
And I totally did an imagination drawing today!! It's the one that says Pentakill, and it's for my brother's birthday present today, because he got his first pentakill on League of Legends yesterday. I only used a reference for his costume. :3
I woke up early after a late night, so I didn't get much done. Some head practices and head references (the one with more heads is the practice one) and some gestures from posemaniacs.com. I wanted to do a digital painting today but I am really struggling with getting anything down. I don't want to try making things in my head until I feel comfortable with the technical aspects of creating an image. Thus, gotta study more references!!
I didn't do much today because I woke up late after a late night and went out all day; I'm so tired...
Anyways, I tried doing at least something, but Photoshop crashed.
I managed to salvage a screenshot, though. So... here it is.
I tried zooming out both the reference and the canvas and found seeing tones became 10x easier, because they were sort of simplified? Anywho, it helped me when picking the right tones.
Well.... don't think I'm going to do anything else today except get an early night. Sweet dreams err'body.
A bunch of stuff I'd done over the last two days. The Hatsune Miku is a birthday gift for a friend (I know a lot of people with their birthdays in December... o.O).
I know I should label which is reffed (I think only two of them are?) and which is non-reffed, but I'm really tired and the past week I'd managed to get absolutely nothing done because of various reasons. Anyways, if you're reading this, thankyou for taking the time to look at my sketchbook!
