Aloha! Call me Skitters. Weird name, I know
I've been doodling and drawing since I was 3, and I'm now 15. Unfortunately, I'm not very good, or at least that's how I judge myself. As poor as my skills may be, I adore drawing and only want to improve my skills. Now I struggle with many things, but it seems to me that my biggest problem lies within understanding shapes, angles, and object rotation. I remember hearing something about how some people rotate objects in their head less skillfully than others because they're better equipped for language skills... or something like that One problem I have is drawing an object from side view or front view and having no idea how to rotate it, even though I break the object down into simple shapes! And then another problem is simply not being able to draw something correctly in any view, period My problem is a bit hard to explain, really...
Anyways, to elaborate a little more:
I mainly draw animals and humans. Animals I specialize in are lions and other big cats. I almost never draw inanimate objects, although I'd love to draw landscapes in the future.
I'm not as interested in drawing completely realistic things as I am stylizing and cartooning. But you need to know your realism first to be able to cartoon, right?
Sorry for such a long intro
What? Is it cryptic or something? "Come on ban the post bye, you (?) not" is as much as I could try and interpret Did I do something wrong, am I being trolled, or...?
