The name's Max, but I go by Brakken, too. I've been drawing all my life, but have only started taking it seriously over the last few years. And now I have decided to begin really knuckling down and learning it! My plan is to keep to a daily schedule that includes warmups, lined drawings, digital painting, and animation - posting my work here as I go. I have weekends off, to work on my comic projects.
I think one of my greatest flaws is getting to a point with a drawing where I know I need to add more to it, but I've no idea how or where it is required. I hope this thread will serve as a journal and a guide - and help me achieve my goals as an artist.
It's weird - most of the time I have a vision for a drawing, and then the final image either fails to meet it, meets it perfectly, or in rare cases exceeds it. But with this one I don't really have a vision of the end result - it's being drawn in my head at the same rate as on the page. Pretty exciting actually
Aaaaaand then I got really busy for two weeks, finishing my Christmas flash game. Gonna have to jump start this routine again, but that's okay. Things get crazy when you're trying to do everything at once!
Kinda floundering with this one now (pardon the pun)
