FINALLY.... I am proud and honored to share with you that TAD now offers fully accredited Bachelors of Science and Fine Art and Associates Degrees with Aspen University. Transfer and new students may apply now.
Three years ago we set out to improve the quality of art education, lower the financial impact of the absolutely unreasonable tuition that the top 10 art schools in the US charge, and to open up channels for learning worldwide, while directly connecting our students to the industry. We have done all of it, and today we take a big step forward.
We have awarded seven figures in scholarships to date, cut the cost of art college in half, and our first "full program" students are about to graduate, many of which are already working in the industry or beginning to receive industry awards. TAD students are already out there and on their way to being industry leaders. I could not be more proud right now. Honored...and humbled too.
The link has all the details and you can reach Scott Richeson infoATtheartdepartment.org for further info, and let him know you found out about this on conceptart.org. He will take great care of you and get you set up with the right people.

Can anyone explained exactly how this works? So TAD is accredited now but how and for whom? do we have to be aspen students?
I will do my best to help point you in the right direction. There are both Bachelors of Science and Fine Art and Associates Degree available, accredited by the DETC, the National accrediting body.
Here are the exact details "The University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). The Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency, and is a recognized member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). "
The other parts of your question are best answered by shooting a quick email to email@example.com and you can also do a live chat by visiting www.theartdepartment.org if that is easier for you!
Thanks for asking too.
