Hi guys, I have been lurking at this site for ages, never feeling confident enough to actually post something and involve myself.
After about a year since I first started I would like the opinions of all of you.
Here goes the leap, all comments and critiques will be greatly appreciated, since it will make me grow as an artist.

Uhm... @-@ ... I can't think of any good books or articles about texture, but for some general tips.. Especially if you're working in Photoshop, pay attention to your brushes, and play around with custom brushes. Those can really change the texture of a picture without requiring a lot of intent and time from you. Also pay attention to blending/how you blend/if you should blend; you can make some of that stringy texture disappear with smooth blending transitions, or chose to leave it in for areas of interest. As a last resort, consider adding some "dirt" to the picture before you call it done. Grab a stock photo texture (or take your own) and overlay it, apply a noise filter, things like that. Let it get a little messy. ...I dunno, just experiment, have fun with it!
