Started attending a class where I basically get access to a nude model once a week for 2.5 hours, with some light help/crits from an attending artist. This is the first time ive done this (drawn from a live model) and I am not a professional, have had no formal art training beforehand, just basically learned what I can on my own since I enjoy it as a hobby and want to get better at it.
Any and all crits and tips on how to approach drawing with a model to get the most out of my class is greatly appreciated

So apparently I'm absolutely pants at drawing long flowing multilayered garbs... who knew Tried holding pen a bit differently while sketching after feedback in the crit centre, not sure if there's any actual improvement yet using that method or if this is a case of taking a step backwards before going forward again. Ok, clothed and unclothed, mostly 10 minute poses.
third and last session with clothed-unclothed model, female wearing a ballerina tutu. (no, not the traditional ballerina body)
Charcoal and graphite pencil, think i got some progress with the coal since i started, but still make a mess instead of confident lines.
All comments and crits are helpful, 3 sessions to go with this model-drawing course.
Lookin good so far, at least it's better than my attempts at life drawing (;
Maybe one little crit, on some of the gestures you used a lot of little lines, which made them a bit chaotic or even hard to read (not on all of them)
Cleaning up your lines would be my tip (:
Think about every line you put on paper, every line has to be "just right"

Keep those life drawings coming, I am already seeing improvement . Try doing shorter gestures(not sure if you are doing em) and I was wondering if you have read through The Vilppu Drawing Manual? I found it to be extremely useful when it came to construction in a human figure as well as in gesture drawing.
