Hi guys, this is my first time posting here so please forgive me if I screw up the etiquette.
That said, I'm looking for a good review of my current portfolio. I think I've got a solid idea of where I'm going with it, just looking for some good input sooner rather than later, because I know I'm lacking some industry-standard signs of quality/knowledge of the craft. I'm interested in work in: 2D concept design, storyboarding, and comics. I'd put some previews in this post, but I'm afraid I can't figure out the right buttons to press. Best I could do ended up in some links called "Attachment [numbers]"
A little bit about myself;
I'm a 22 year-old, 2011 graduate of the Kubert School. I've interviewed with both DC and Marvel, and would have been in a great position to start working after I graduated, but my family and I were hit by Hurricane Irene right around the time I was ready to start taking on work. This put all my professional ambitions on hold, and as a result I became massively behind on the work I had at the time, keeping in practice, making contacts, networking, etc. I'm looking to get a foothold in the industry as soon as possible so I can start making a living and pay off some of these student loans. I've never done concept work or story boards professionally before, but I feel I've got a good grasp on the theory behind it, and could learn the ins and outs of both relatively quickly while on the job because of the great background that comes with attending the JKS.
Eagerly looking forward to a response. Thanks for your time guys!
