Working on drawing the figure from imagination. Tempted to work into these.
Hi Theo Mack!
Thanks for stopping by my thread the other day. I've always had a hard time drawing cars, too. Your idea of filling a sketchbook with just them is a good one. Good work here! My favorites are the Tree from Post #26 (nice dark areas) and the Imagination Landscapes from Post #47, especially the boats. I like the range in value in that one, too. I guess I'm drawn to those pieces where you push your darker values a bit.
Getting inspired by John Martin. Really do love his paintings. I might work into the trees a little yet.
Experimenting with different styles of digital painting.
A life drawing from today. Trying to loosen up and speed up lots:
Some cars that I did whilst waiting for a lecture to begin. Very quick studies:
A selection of drawings done from my explorations around cornwall where my uni is.
All done from observation.
Figure practice. From imagination
A landscape from last night. John Martin inspired. Need to work on the figure a little yet.
A set of sky drawings done over the past few weeks. Charcoal and white spirit.. I am now part blind from staring at the sun so much!
Here are a selection of small sketches done when I have been out and about. All roughly 10-15 mins
A life drawing from yesterday.
Your still life is great! I'd say continue to work on facial expressions and head structure, something i have to work on too! Your figures from imaginations are rad!
Thanks, its nice to get some feedback
and yes.. the head is one of the hardest parts of the body to draw for me, I have a couple of books to work through that will hopefully improve this however.
Two observational drawings from some abandoned locations near my university that I recently explored.
Here are a few A3 (roughly) sized made up landscape drawings that I have been up until 3am doing in the past week or so. I have gained great inspiration from John Martin, one of my favourite artists.
loving the traditional works keep it up buddy!
Thank you, I shall!
My first attempt at a still life on a graphics tablet. I have a long way to go with this!
It's now 3:20am I still cant draw myself away from my new tablet. I love it!
Really like those abandoned location drawings. They look like they could be panels in a comic book.
Check out my sketchbook! Socially acceptable opportunity to yell at a teenage girl!
Thanks, hoping to fill a sketchbook with these.
A go at a digital painting that took me far to long. Its a tricky thing to get realistic looking details in a short time, The longer I spend the less detailed it seems to get.
Started using a square brush for architecture. Always learning!
