Heya, nice sketchbook.
Your ideas and narratives within your designs are strong. It's matter of honing those fundamental skills to best illustrate your ideas that will take everything to the next level. I recommend trying a few studies from life, especially since it looks like you enjoy painting scenes. Keep it up!
Thanks for the advice Braydan, in fact the last one was from life, but i know what you mean, and yeah sometimes i draw outdoors when i have the time, but i usually dont pain from life. Maybe i could do that.
I got my scanner fixed! =D
Here are random pages from my sketchbook from last weeks.
I was inspired by rachmakninof life, that's why there is some pianist drawings,in the other hand i'm trying a new approach to anatomy, as you can see in the last images.

I´v been feeling like i hate the ways my drawings are communicating things, or maybe i feel like i´m stuck in the same style.. Anyway i´m trying to explore new compositions and ideas, maybe in a very conservative way, i´ll try to push that further the next time.
i´m deciding if i leave the fishes or i have to replace them for shark whales.
I love your style! I especially liked the graveyard piece. I have a special love for pieces like that, they remind me of something you would put on a upper middle grade cover, like Percy Jackson.
I don't know if you want crit or not, and I'm still very much a beginner so grain of salt, but it seems like your pictures seem to lean to the side, like you're tilting while you're drawing. Hmm, I don't know how to explain it. I'm sure there are terms for it, but it feels like I want to tilt my head a little when I look at the images. Hope that helps.
Nyghtrain: Thanks, one of my goals is to create a child book or something like "The lost thing" by Shaun Tan (Most of the books from my childhood, could be readed by any person besides his age, i like that kind of book).
Any critic it is welcome, maybe there is a composition term for that, i don´t know too. What i can tell you is that i´m always trying to apply the thirds rule and the only thing i can imagine is the way i use this rule, maybe affects somehow how the viewer sees the picture. Just a hypothesis.
Besides i draw everyday on paper, i haven't submitted any of those drawings, mainly because my scanner it is slow enough to make me waste a lot of time that i prefer invest drawing more. Maybe I will post more often my traditional drawings on weekends. But for now this was a drapery and lightning practice with my boxers shorts. lol
I have problems with materials, this one it is to shinny...maybe soften blending or different brush with texture could improve the fabric look?
